Escape to Mountain Retreat - Great Location - Great Rates

Cabin was great for what we were doing. Me, my daughter and two grandkids went up for the holiday weekend. I really liked that the cabin has two full bathrooms, and two king beds. The beds were comfortable enough. We had plenty of hot water for two adults and two kids. Never ran out of hot water. Kitchen was fully stocked. The parking was fine, yes it’s on a hill but you are in the mountains. I had no issues with parking my Expedition. The fire place - if you are with another couple the double sided fire place is see through. So if you are in the living room, you see straight into the bedroom . Yes it’s towards the floor but , just be mindful of that if you are two grown adults. The location of the cabin is fine also. I would not consider it in walking distance of the swimming pool. There are some pretty steep hills. We drove down. Hidden Springs Resort is very close to Dollywood and the Dig Zone. We had no issues while there . We enjoyed our stay.

There was no hot water

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at the cabin! The owner was a complete joy to work with! We found the location to be perfect...any place we wanted to be was about 15 minutes in either direction and was close to several restaurants and grocery stores. The cabin was very clean, and the kitchen was stocked with more cooking utensils, pots, pans, etc. than most we have stayed at. It is obvious the owner wants guests to have everything they need to enjoy their stay! Would definitely rent this cabin again! Thank you for a wonderful vacation!

We gave this condo a three out of five stars mainly because when we got there, the toilet seat was broken so that when we attempted to sit down, it fell off because it was unhinged. This also happened on the 2nd seat. When we contacted the owner, she said she knew of the problem, and would have someone fix it as soon as possible if needed. However, we would have preferred if she had let us know in advance that this was an issue. Since we didn’t want to rearrange our schedule to accommodate a handyman, we went all week without a secure toilet seat. The condo was pretty clean other than that, and the kids loved the retro video game unit. However, the beds were pretty uncomfortable, especially the sofa bed, and the sheets were very scratchy. There was very poor water pressure in the showers. We did not hear our neighbors and the location was beautiful and very convenient. However, the neighborhood pool was very dirty, and we found several lots of hair floating in it. On one attempt, the folks in front of us tattempted to enter the front gate and couldn’t get in. Even when we tried entering our code for them, the gate would t open. Thus, we had to go in the exit gate after a car came out. Later, the owner let us know that the gate will stop working for a minute or so if the wrong code is entered too many times. FYI…just wait a minute and then renter the code. Finally, not really a big deal, but the Keurig machine wouldn’t work, however, there is a second coffee pot for us to use.
