Trade winds are almost constant, and you can regulate the feel inside by opening/closing various doors. We had a couple of questions, and the management answered them promptly, so we felt well attended to. Overall: highly recommended!

Fantastic location for walking to Tunnels Beach, and super quick drive to Haena State Park. Comfortable amenities, great communication by the property manager.

Comfortable home. Easy access to walk to beach and best snorkeling on the island. Well equipped for the most part just could use some dish towels and pot holders! If you don’t want to get in your car much, this is the perfect spot!

We loved our stay at this house! It was very spacious for 2 people (would also work well for 2 couples) and we loved the big windows, wraparound porch, and large yard area. The setting is gorgeous and location offers a quiet, scenic escape only a 15 min drive from Hanalei, and walking distance to Tunnels beach. We can't wait to come back and stay here again!

The house was exactly what we were wanting... perfect location, views, and amenities. The rental company was great. The bridge at Hanalei was flooded with a tree stuck on the bridge the evening we arrived. After waiting at the bridge for 3 hours and being up almost 24 hours we called the rental company and they immediately put us in another property for the night. The only issue we had with the house was sporadically our phones wouldn’t charge in the outlets. But it was not enough of an issue to contact the rental company. We plan to return two more times within the next year. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home!

The property had beautiful views from the deck, was well equipped, and clean. They also included beach towels and beach chairs! We could walk to the beach so rarely had to get in our car. The property manager was great! They were easy to contact, replied to all questions quickly, and kept us up to date on the road conditions (associated with the 2016 floods).

Our favorite feature was the outdoor shower, followed closely by the homes nearness to our favorite beach on Kauai. I would recommend this home to anyone wishing to stay on the North Shore of Kauai.

Lighting could have been better in living room and kitchen. Loved the screened in porch. Roosters bothered us first few nights but got used to it.

The house was perfect for our family of 4, not only was it clean and comfortable but had lovely seating areas all around the verandah to sit and enjoy the surrounding scenery. We couldn't have asked for a better location either, the North was nothing less than spectacular.

Stayed here with our two boys (10 and 12). View of the waterfall from the porch was incredible....especially after a good rain! The trail down to the beach...equally as cool. Can't beat this very unique north shore location......a very unique Kauai experience away from all the crowds. Beds were very comfy. Older property inside, but location trumps that. Need a more comfy couch though for those cool mornings and cool nights. Loved having the beach chairs, cooler and boogies available for use. Note....in winter Tunnels beach (walking distance) not for beginners. We were able to snorkel close to shore one day, but our boys are ocean savvy......otherwise it's often closed for swimming in winter. Definitely not for beginners in winter, but the beauty is unreal....great for beach combing. Would definitely come back.

The house is not as big and bright as it looks on the pictures but it is very nice, well equipped, and especially very, very clean! We appreciated it a lot, that the balcony in the rear was covered with mosquito screens, so we could sit outside. The beds are comfortable. A five minutes walk will take you to the beach. Please take into consideration that on heavy rainfalls, the bridge to Princeville and finally to the Airport can be closed for hours and you can not get through. We had to wait 10 hours and missed all our flights home.

This was a great rental for our stay in Haena. We really enjoyed the location, a short walk to Tunnels beach (our fave) and short drive to many other beaches. We loved the outdoor shower and wrap-around lanai. The house was clean and comfortable. The only thing missing (we could not find it!) was a toaster, and the bbq was out of propane, but that could have been due to the last guests. At the beginning, we were also a bit uncomfortable with the warnings for possible extra charges, but we were careful and got used to it after a couple of days.

Nice house in a small, quiet neighborhood. Loved the view of the mountains. Loved the spacious porch. Easy access to beautiful beach. Great place for two couples. However, if you like to sleep in, the island rooster and bird population tend too be a bit too loud at dawn. But that's life in the tropics! We all agreed an outdoor dining table on the deck is needed. Overall, a very good pick for us!

The house is very well stocked and the beds were comfortable. The location is fantastic if you want to snorkel on Tunnels beach or just beach walk for hours. My only suggestion would be to put an outdoor patio table outside on the lanai so you can eat outside (there was one on the ground, but it was a pain to go up and down the stairs with food, etc.). My favourite part of the house was the 'Mermaid Lounge'. I love the fact that this home is clearly some family's treasured vacation home and not just a rental. I would highly recommend staying in this house.

Exactly as pictured and described. Although there are 4 or 5 other houses nearby, they are all positioned for privacy and everyone seemed to value the quiet as we did. We particularly enjoyed the view from the main living area and waking up to birdsong (and the unbiquitous roosters). The rental was very well equipped, from cookware & kitchen appliances to beach gear (including snorkel masks). The location was perfect for us -- a short walk to Tunnels beach and a short drive to the botanical garden and Kalalau Trail at Ke'e beach. Highly recommended.

The wrap around deck is perfect, and only minutes from the beach... This was the perfect place!

We enjoyed our two week stay at the Haena Place. It was very clean and as fellow VRBO owners, we really appreciate the thoughtful kitchen supplies and information provided at this special place. It was very quite and an amazing location at the very North end of the garden island. We enjoyed time in the screened in mermaid lounge. Walked to the beach, we figured out the day before we left that one street over also lead to the beach on a public path. The two of us stayed the entire time and then Mom joined us for 9 days of our stay. It was very relaxing for us all and gave us ample space. The Customer service was great, when their was a house repair needed they were quick, courteous and the cleaning crew was also great and accommodating! We are still talking about our time there and wish we were there right now!!! Every morning when we enjoyed our coffee and fresh fruit from the local roadside stands, we would enjoy the view out of the front lanai and vaulted ceiling windows of the amazing waterfall!!! Thank you also for the use of the coolers, beach chairs etc. really came in handy.

We had a wonderful stay at this home in quiet Haena. The home had (almost) everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay, with a well-equipped kitchen, excellent screened-in lanai, and a quiet little street. The bedding was super comfortable, and the outdoor shower was divine. It's a very short walk to the most beautiful of beaches down a small private lane, and the home's landscaping was very lovely and well-tended. The home was immaculately clean, as well. One suggestion for the owners: the only thing the home lacks is a dining table on one of the lanais - either the screened-in back lanai or the front lanai. It would be fantastic for them to invest in just a simple cafe table so we could enjoy our meals outside in the perfect hawaiian evenings. Thanks for such a great place to spend our vacation! We tried to care for the home as if it were our own - we hope future renters do the same.
