We had a great family Thanksgiving utilizing the kitchen and all kitchenware. The place was in very clean condition and well organized and comfortable. We had a great time and hope to make a yearly event inviting my daughter's family (living in Culpepper) and friends.

Our experience was very positive. My immediate family spent Thanksgiving at Chalet du Lac and we found the setting very secluded, peaceful and safe. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the property owner, Isabelle. She was extremely friendly and helpful. The property is on a lake but it also has multiple beautiful views. There is plenty to do both inside (table games, movies) and outside (kayaking, canoeing, walking, sitting by the firepit, visiting the farm market nearby). The house is well equipped with plenty of attention to details. The internet was not great, but we knew it based on earlier reviews. We used our mobile hotspot when necessary. Otherwise, we were not interested in being online.We highly recommend this property.
