About this house rental
Come and stay at our dome on the range. This remodeled geodesic dome house is nestled halfway between Cody and Yellowstone National Park in the beautiful Wapiti Valley. Enjoy views from every window and the wrap around deck. From the dome you can see up the Northfork Valley, Jim Mountain to the North, Ptarmigan Mountain to the South, and Buffalo Bill Reservoir to the East. In the Wapiti area you can enjoy fishing, hiking, biking, kayaking, boating, skiing, horseback riding and animal watching. We have seen deer, buffalo, elk, wolf, fox, eagles, owls, blue birds, and even a few horny toads on this 5-acre property. Winter & Spring Travel Notice: Cody offers plenty to enjoy year-round! Please note that Yellowstone's East Entrance and most park roads are closed to regular vehicle traffic from November 1, 2025 through May 1, 2026. During winter (December 15–mid-March, weather permitting), access is available only by guided snowcoach or snowmobile tours.
Keeping with the green theme that domes are accustomed, a variety of reclaimed materials were used when remodeling this home. You'll see material from old barns, snow fences, cellars, bridges, and decks mixed with stainless steel appliances, marble tile back splashes, concrete counter tops, new solid pine doors, and large wood/metal clad windows. A newly added game room features a pool table, bar and half bath.
On the inside this 2200 square foot home has a 24-foot ceiling in the great room, a custom fireplace, and a loft. Bedroom 1 is on main level and has a queen bed. Bathroom 1 features a tiled, step-in shower. Also on the main level is a den with a comfortable sofa sleeper and a television and through the den a laundry room. Upstairs there is a loft with a sectional sofa and fantastic views, two bedrooms, and a bathroom. Bedroom 2 has a queen bed and bedroom 3 has a triple bunk bed with twin beds and an additional twin bed. Bathroom 2 has a tub/shower combo.

This house was very clean and a great place to stay if you have a large group. To top it off, the view of the surrounding mountains are beautiful no matter where you are at.

Very roomy and comfortable. The only thing challenging was the reclaimed deck wood-kids needed shoes on to avoid slivers in theirfeet. I’d stay there again.
