269 on Main Holiday Home

Truly luxury accommodation. Spotless, well equipped, spacious with everything we could need. The owner met us on arrival and showed us around the property. She was friendly and welcoming. They live next door and she works with children that get dropped off by parents in the mornings, on the shared access driveway, but this did not bother us as privacy was maintained and there was never any noise or inconvenience to us. The weather was definitely not in our favour when we visited but having to remain in the house was not uncomfortable due to the facilities provided (darts in the upstairs area, TV, games) and we felt we could relax and we ordered take out which was delicious and it felt lovely to relax and enjoy time in the property. We wished it could have been less windy / cold so the children could enjoy the pool and go spot whales but alas not to be, and obviously nothing the owners could help. We did get out to explore in between showers which was lovely. There were plenty of blankets to keep us warm when the evenings became very cool and the fire / heaters downstairs worked well and made everything more cosy. We did mention that the master bedroom heater seemed to be not working as well but as these are newly installed she was going to look into that as they should be flawless, it didn’t cause us too much discomfort as again plenty blankets and we spent more time downstairs. Overall our stay here was very enjoyable and we would recommend to others.

The bad winds that we experienced sadly had broken the security gates which again was not the owners fault and having a guy “man the gates” to self open/close was their solution until the winds calmed down. Personally I did not like the idea of a stranger standing directly outside in view of the lounge windows and directly opposite one of my children’s bedrooms especially when we were in the property as it felt intrusive but he was always gone by the evenings and I understood this was a solution to the gate not working so overcame my discomfort. Our only niggle was we would have loved the bath in the master bedroom to run much quicker - it took forever!

Loved how spacious the house was. Each bedroom is massive and has its own bathroom. Big well equipped kitchen.

Loved so much so this is tricky to answer. Some things didnt work like the plugs for the baths and some lights. But all in all a wonderful stay!

Great house with large rooms and all the amenities we required. Good braai/games room. Walking distance to main town and restaurants.

House is on a main road which can be a bit noisy.

Very spacious, well equipped home, ideal for a large group, with various entertaining options. Great Braai room, so not weather dependant. Our family loved it.

What's not to like the house is amazing, the main bedroom just WOW ! We had a fabulous time celebrating a friends birthday here . Would definitely return.

What a beautiful home. Lovely spacious bedrooms. We enjoyed the pool. A huge plus was the fact that some of the plugs work during loadshedding. The host looked after us well. e.g. during loadshedding we requested a gas stove kettle or where we could buy one as the property didn’t have. By the next morning the host bought one and brought it to us.

The property really needs a clothing line and pegs for the guests to use outside. Aircon would be great as it was very humid, but every bedroom did have fans. Other than that all was perfect.
