Joyce was super welcoming up on arrival and gave us some great tips about what to do during our weekend. House was incredibly clean and cozy, perfect amount of privacy. Just close enough to Downtown/Old City. Would love to visit again!

Joyce’s place was just as described. I usually always have to do a wipe down when renting a place, but hers was already immaculate with everything you’d need for a long term stay. The layout was maximized to really make it spacious, and the blackout effect in the bedroom was perfect for this day time sleeper. The covered parking was an added bonus, and the neighborhood was quiet, safe, and perfect for daily strolls. Joyce was an excellent host and always available for any random question. I’d definitely rent here again!

65+ solo gal visiting family who recently relocated about 12 miles outside Knoxville - always love to see them but 3 young adult grands also visiting meant the home was overflowing! Loved staying at this property - quiet neighborhood but easy to find 40/640, covered off street parking, kitchen fully furnished- even had pods for the Keurig! Even had enough space to assemble the 6 gingerbread houses to take to be decorated! Furnishings are cute as a button, shower has great pressure and plentiful hot water, and bed very comfy! I’m sure I’ll be back!

We stayed here for two nights when we were in town for a football game. It was a great location just a few miles to Market Square and Neyland Stadium. Joyce was there to greet us at check in and gave us some recommendations for meals while we were staying in Knoxville. The place was super clean and we will definitely stay here again if we visit Knoxville again.

My teenage daughter and I drove down from Indiana for a concert at Neyland Stadium. Joyce was very accommodating. She was there to greet us upon arrival to show us around. She definitely made us feel at home. Her place was cozy, clean, and just a short drive from the stadium. We would definitely recommend staying here!

My cousin and I stayed at Joyce's place for two nights in order to attend the Morgan Wallen concert at Neyland Stadium. From the very beginning, Joyce's communication was very prompt and helpful, and her place was extremely clean and inviting. It is just a short distance from the UT campus and downtown Knoxville, and we felt safe in her neighborhood. We stayed at Joyce’s place while we helped our daughter move from TX to TN to attend UTK this fall. Both Joyce and her son Mike were very friendly and helpful with anything we needed, be it help with recommendations on places to eat or directions to places we needed to go. Although we didn’t spend much time there except to come back exhausted, needing showers and sleep, their place for the bill. It was close to our daughter’s new apartment, and pretty much anywhere else we needed to go. It was clean and had everything we needed! Thanks Joyce/Mike!

Photos do not do this apartment justice! It looked a lot smaller in the photos, but was actually incredibly spacious, and a comfortable stay with its own AC unit. Hosts were so kind, and very accommodating. When I needed salt for my cooking at 11pm, and messaged them, they immediately showed up with salt and pepper shakers. I struggled to connect to the WiFi, and they came and helped me. I will definitely return to stay with them, and recommend them to friends! 11/10!

The location is perfect for anything you are doing in Knoxville. It is very close to downtown and close to the major routes so quick to get anywhere you want to go. The suite looks and feels brand new. It has all the amenities you require including a washer and dryer which is great for travelers. Joyce met us for check-in, gave us all the details we needed for the stay and was very quick to respond to questions. I would certainly return here in the future.

We were looking for a comfortable place near downtown Knoxville and found a great option with this rental. Safe neighborhood where you can easily navigate to the downtown area but still feel you are in a safe, quiet neighborhood. Joyce and Harry are personable and provide a well-renovated and private retreat with all of the amenities. Pleased with accommodations, parking, and easy access to main highway arteries of Knoxville.

From the time I pulled onto the street to the time I was pulling out of the driveway I had an amazing stay at Harry & Joyce's Hideaway. We were greeted at the carport and they showed us around and let us know everything we needed to know about the apt and the area. They have thought of everything and it made our stay so relaxing, comfortable and so very enjoyable. We felt at home. I came so close to trying to add more time but another 2 days still wouldnt of been enough time so we have decided we are coming back before the holidays. The bed is comfortable, the bathroom is great with a heater so your warm when you come out the shower. The apartment is loaded with everything you need. Honestly you just need to bring toiletries, food, clothes and yourself. Joyce & Harry of thought of everything and go far beyond. They are so wonderful and make you feel so welcomed. There isn't enough I can say great about "The Hideaway" you definitely should try it when come to visit Knoxville or the area because we went to Sweetwater, Gatlinburg, Morristown, Sieverville all no more than an hour away(centrally located). Its a great place to stay and Harry & Joyce are awesome amd so nice. I'm alreafy

We wanted to spend a couple of weeks in Knoxville to enjoy the absolutely stunning display of Dogwoods and Azaleas in the neighborhood gardens. This apartment was perfect. The location makes it easy to get from one part of town to another. We also made day trips to the Smokies, Asheville and Lexington. A public golf course is 5 minutes away. Our hosts were there to meet us when we arrived and showed us around the apartment. It is spottlessly clean! While we did not do any cooking as such the kitchen was well stocked with all you would need to make a meal. The bathroom was nice and plenty of hot water. The bed was very comfortable. All in all it was tucked in a quiet established neighborhood yet easy to get out to shopping or eating. We even had covered parking which was great as we did have some rain while we were there. Thanks to Joyce and Harry for being gracious hosts. We would certainly stay again if we go back to Knoxville. Sydney and Jim Austin, TX

My son and his girlfriend stayed at Harry & Joyce's place for 8 weeks while they did their physical therapy clinicals in Knoxville. The apartment was very clean & comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped. Location was very convenient to the highway & downtown Knoxville. The apartment was quiet. Harry & Joyce were excellent hosts and very responsive to any questions or issues. Would definitely stay there again if in the Knoxville area.

This is the perfect sized place for a couple. We stayed at the hideaway and drove to Pigeon Forge each day. We loved getting out of the crowds and relaxing in the beautiful apartment. It was stocked with everything we needed. Harry settled us in and told us to let them know if we needed anything. We didn’t, it was all there. I really enjoyed the washer and dryer. I took home all clean clothes from our trip. I cannot stress enough how so much effort was taken to make a perfect place for visiting. Mac and Lisa

My boyfriend and I traveled from New England as nurses for a work contract. We were lucky enough to come across this property and book for the entire 3 months. From the start Joyce and Harry answered all of our questions and were so accommodating. They provided us with 2 sets of keys which included a member card to the local grocery store. The space is perfect for 2 people, very clean and furnished with everything we needed to be comfortable and to cook full meals. The bedroom was dark at all times because there are no windows, which was perfect for our night shift schedule. The living room and bathroom are bright and open. The apartment had parking for both of our cars and access to a nice yard. It’s a good location in a nice neighborhood with a short distance to all kinds of restaurants and shops, downtown is only a ten minute drive. The owners live above and were quiet and friendly, also very attentive when we had questions. It was a nice touch that they dropped off the local event newspaper so we knew what was happening in the area! We really felt so at home here and can’t say enough great things about our experience. If we are back to Knoxville we will definitely book again!

My husband and I were delighted with our stay in this lovely home. The location is great for visiting UTK and the great restaurants in Knoxville and the amenities are perfect. The bed is comfortable, the kitchen is fully equipped, the bathroom has everything you need and there is a carport right outside your door. So much better than a hotel room! Harry and Joyce are wonderful hosts - Harry met us with the key and showed us around even though it was late in the evening and Joyce stopped to say hello as we were heading out for a late dinner. We will definitely be back!

My partner and I had a great time at Joyce and Harry's place. Joyce was waiting for us upon arrival, even though our arrival was past midnight - bless her heart. We were very happy with the place - it's convenient to downtown (~10 min drive), located in a quiet neighborhood, has all the amenities of an apartment (and a nice, large bathroom), and of course, is bigger than your average hotel room so you feel you have ample space. There were zero complaints for us - we had a great time!

We loved the apartment. Joyce and Harry were very friendly. The apartment has a great kitchen complete with everything you need. The apartment was super clean, plenty of towels, good toilet paper (I usually have to go buy my own when we're on vacation because I'm a toilet paper snob), nicely decorated, cable TV and DVD player. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because the bed was a little too soft for our taste. If we're ever in Knoxville again, we are definitely staying at Joyce and Harry's place. The location is very good, too. We were within minutes of the University and historic downtown Knoxville. We found a great restaurant, Litton's, maybe a mile or two away -- best hamburger I've had in a long time. It was a great stay for us.

I have frequently used Home Away for stays in the Caribbean but never in the US. I was traveling to Knoxville for the SEC Softball Tournament, hosted by UT, so I thought I would check out Home Away options. I was very satisfied with this option. Since I was traveling alone, I preferred a safe, residential area versus a hotel, not to mention the cost savings. This location was perfect! Very quiet neighborhood. The apartment is so adequately furnished and very nice. Very spacious with great appliances. Large selection of cable stations with 2 flat screen TVs. Loved the private carport entrance. Very convenient to downtown and the UT campus. The home owners are super nice and very helpful with the initial check-in, etc. I would definitely stay here again.

Although convenient to many things, it is on a quiet street. Private covered parking was a plus, as was the available grill (which we used numerous times!) Laundry in the apartment was a plus. Bright airy and comfortable for a small apartment. Much better than the big noisy chain hotels. We enjoyed the area and the convenience of everything. The hosts were kind and pleasant, they made us feel at home and welcome. I would recommend this apartment for anyone who needs a place to stay in the northern Knoxville area.

Great accommodations for couples. Well furnished and super clean. The owners, Joyce and Harry were welcoming and friendly. Located in a quiet neighborhood which is a short drive to any part of Knoxville. I would recommend two improvements. One is a ceiling fan in the bedroom to move air when the door is closed. The other is a lighter bedspread for warm weather.

My husband and I stayed here for a long weekend (Thurs-Mon). Check in and check out was a breeze. Joyce and Harry were very accomodating with our late arrival time. We are working on relocating to Knoxville and used this trip as a fact-finding mission. Joyce and Harry left us the entertainment and property sections of the newspaper, which was extremely helpful. They also were happy to tell us about the area and answered lots of questions. The condo itself was beautiful and very clean! The location can't be beat; it's just 10-15 minutes from downtown. The bed was very comfortable. The kitchen was well-stocked with cooking supplies and the living room was spacious. I loved the heated fan in the bathroom! We went to the smoky mountains one day and that was just about an hour drive - not bad at all! I really don't have one bad thing to say about the whole experience. I highly recommend this property to anyone wanting to visit Knoxville. We will definitely be back.
