About this house rental

Welcome to a Spectacular Home away from Home. This home, located in Mitiwanga Park in Huron Ohio sits right on the beach and has spectacular views of Lake Erie both to the north, east and west. Sit on one of the many decks of the house and soak in the views and the sun.

Mitiwanga Park is a kid-friendly community that is less than 15 minutes to Cedar Point, antique shopping, a penny candy store, jet skiiing and more. The beaches of the Park are sandy and shallow for a long distance out and is private to residents (and their tenants). The Park has tennis courts and basketball courts for use by residents (and their tenants). Fish right off the piers in the Park....

The home was completely gutted and renovated in the Fall 2011. The home has two master bedrooms - one up and one down (handicapped accessible), which is wonderful for multiple families staying at the home. Both master bedrooms have flat screen TV's as does the great room so there is plenty of space to spread out. With 3 full-baths and a private outdoor shower, there will never be a wait to rinse off sand from the beach.

The home sits on a gently slopped hill to the Park beach and has 3 sides that face the lake so there are spectacular beach views from virtually every room in the house.

My friends and I completed our 4th annual stay at this lake house, and we had another amazing time! Our host always has the house stocked with cooking supplies and fun activity equipment that we were able to use. We truly lucked out with the weather on this trip and were able to spend a large amount of time on the deck overlooking the lake which has fantastic views! Thanks again for the hospitality. Jennifer is an amazing host! We truly couldn't ask for a better stay for our huge group of crew and cast members during a local filming. She was so kind and accomodating to our needs, truly one of the most generous hosts I've ever experienced! The house is a dream with the most gorgeous views and the most beautifully curated decor. We had the most peaceful time during our stay in The Treehouse!!!! Everything was wonderful and the views were absolutely stunning both inside and outside on the decks and patios!!! The home is very comfortable and truly has whatever one might need to really relax and enjoy!!! We were so blessed to spend two weeks in this beautiful home. The house is beautiful inside and out - the setting could not be better for relaxing on the deck in a comfy chair and looking out over the lake. We had perfect weather, very calm lake - though would have liked just a tad more wind so we could hear more of the waves lapping! We couldn't ask for better communication and information from the owners - about the house and surrounding! We have stayed in Mitiwanga several times - last time was about 10 years ago. This is the place we all want to come back to. Looking forward to setting up our next visit!

This house is such a gem! It’s clean, spacious, warm, and is a wonderful place to gather with family and friends. There was more than enough room for our family of 8 and the space would easily accommodate more. The first floor bedroom and bathroom were great for my parents. My mom was recovering from an ankle condition so not having to go up and down the stairs was perfect. The deck is amazing! We enjoyed morning coffee with sweeping views, afternoon snacks soaking up the sun, and dinners, drinks, and tea just enjoying the lake. Such a great place to gather. There were tons of board games and beach toys, perfect for our kiddos. We even met Sean from Sean Watch who was very kind and reminded us to feel free to pick the cherry tomatoes growing on the side of the house. This was our 2nd year vacationing at Mitiwanga, our first staying here and we’re already planning our trip to stay again in 2023. Be sure to stop by the local farm stand for amazing peaches and fresh picked corn and veggies!

This was a wonderful house for our extended family of 11. Beach toys and chairs were a plus and the private beach was great. We used the community tennis courts and enjoyed walking around the neighborhood. Vermilion was a cute city to visit and eat in. We truly enjoyed our stay and will probably go again.

Our group of life-long friends had a terrific trip and stay at the property. The weather worked in our favor so we took advantage of the outside deck space and spent the majority of our time enjoying the lakefront views and fabulous sunsets. The house itself was well stocked, especially the kitchen which had all the necessities for making some great meals. Overall, we could not have asked for a better place for our group of friends. Beautiful house!!!!! Well supplied and comfortable except for the mattresses. We loved the coffee mugs. Please be careful, these are valuable. The view is the best on lake front!!!! We had several bald eagles making visits. One eagle landed in the tree outside the near window. What a treat!!!! We also enjoyed watching all the ducks. We would love coming back in the summer to experience a whole different environment.

We stayed here for four days. It worked perfectly for our family of 7. One person in a wheelchair. Very open for him to maneuver. Lots of room for sleeping and privacy. Great views of lake from deck. Steep hill to walk down to get to beach but once there, very good beach glass hunting. Very easy communication with owner. She was very willing to answer any questions. We would recommend this house

Jennifer's property is outstanding in terms of location, amenities, water and sunset views, square footage, and access to the beach. It was very clean and equipped with everything we might need, down to batteries and beach chairs. We had three generations - so "space" was a consideration and this house has it -- plenty of comfortable indoor and outdoor places to eat, read, view the kids on the beach, enjoy coffee in the morning, or BBQ. Three of five bedrooms had balconies with lake views, and the large deck overlooking the beach and lake is ideal for relaxing, sunset-gazing and or sharing outdoor dinner. Our adult kids enjoyed the Tiki Bar two blocks away on the Lake Road. Side trips to Put in Bay, Paper Moon winery and downtown Vermillion were easy. We're not ready for Cedar Point quite yet. We appreciated access to a tidy garage, parking for two additional vehicles, and toys and videos for the kids. Ceiling fans in all rooms. Even some wine and champagne in the wine cooler! This home was a great backdrop for our family getaway! We had our daughters, their husbands and 5 young grandchildren. The views were wonderful, gorgeous sunsets and weather did not disappoint. The home is well equipped right down to beach toys for the kids. The bedrooms were comfy (and beachy). The double beds were a bit of a challenge since our guys are pretty tall, and we’re all used to king beds, but we had enough beds to make it work. We have been to Mitiwanga many times and always wanted to take our kids/grandkids. It was such a nice weekend!
