This two bedroom, one bath home is delightfully decorated with eclectic art and antiques. The outdoor hot tub invites you to relax after a day exploring. A short, four-minute walk takes you to a semi-private neighborhood beach where Hare Creek meets the ocean. We were welcomed to a moldy and musty house. There is a hefty cleaning fee but the house was not cleaned. Lots of dirt and cobwebs in the corners, uncleaned, dusty blinds, sticky kitchen cabinets, etc. I dropped something under the bed and it was scary. There was black mold on the shower caddy. The beds were atrocious, you can feel every spring. The bed spread smelled of mold and was not clean. The sheets had holes in them. They left a used bar of soap and nothing else. We met the owner who lives in a large home behind the home. He was very nice! However, he informed us that a landscaping crew would be there the next day early with chainsaws. We informed the property mgr and they agreed to move the date. The owner informed us he bought the old house from an old lady who died and I think he didn't replace the beds or furniture from her time there. The positive was that communication, the nice owner, the hot tub and our dog loved the smells and the "thankfully" unkept yard.

Great little house, hot tub, beautiful gardens, 5-min walk to the beach, cozy and tidy. Secluded and lovely. We were able to cook with ease in the kitchen. Beds were comfortable. Books and et were wonderful. We were so happy with our stay!

A really nice place. A short walk to the neighborhood semi-private beach and A short drive to everything in Fort Bragg including restaurants, the botanical garden and shopping. A little outside of the driveway was more of a commercial area that I wouldn't want to walk around in, but on the other side of the house was a lovely neighborhood. The garden was really nice and the house itself was cute with artwork all over the walls. We settled in well and picked our bedrooms. We enjoyed the hot tub as well almost every night. I would recommend this for anyone looking for a stay in Fort Bragg.

We absolutely loved our stay at Taylor’s Grove. The house is amazingly cute, and the rooms and super spacious and tidy! The garden is our absolute favorite …. Being able to walk around and enjoy all the plants and trees and even sit and enjoy a glass of wine in the Adirondack chairs and have a view of the ocean is amazing. This will be our vacation destination for years to come.

I did not care for the location. It was right next to the highway and the neighbors dogs barked a lot. The kitchen was in need of organization and needs a lot of items replaced. The bed was horrible. The floor would be more comfortable. Lots of spiders & cobwebs. The yard looked nothing like the pics on line. If I could post pics I would. Sketchy people hanging out on the corner near the property. What was nice was the property management. We brought our bicycles & we were allowed to keep them in the garage.

Easy check in, and great communication throughout the process. The house is great. Great location, and a quick wall to the beach. Overall it was a great experience. The only question I have is, why am I paying a cleaning fee if I must wash my own dishes and remove the trash? Overall a great experience with the house and owners.

My wife, myself, and another couple like to get away to Fort Bragg once or twice a year. For this trip we decided to forgo the hotel experience and get a VRBO, and we could not have been happier. The house was in a convenient location, yet had a wonderful sense of seclusion. We were all immediately comfortable in the house - it felt welcoming and lived in, and was clean and tidy. And of course who doesn't love a clean, steaming hot tub! The owners were 100% on point, easy to communicate with, and provided a wonderful space to enjoy three days on the coast. We're all looking forward to our next visit to Taylor's Grove!

What a great stay we had. Perfect location for everything. We could walk almost anywhere. House is very peaceful and has everything you could ever need. The garden in the back was very relaxing and just a very short walk you can be on a small private beach. We are looking forward to our next getaway to Fort Bragg, really hope Taylor Grove is available. Thank you, thank you for a great week.

This property accommodated us—two senior couples and a small comfort dog—with grace and charm. Both bedrooms had clearly been designed for cozy comfort with a blend of eclectic furnishings reflecting an eye for low maintenance old-school style. The sitting area likewise welcomed that vibe and was flooded with light from a wall of windows. The kitchen was well appointed and the wi fi worked reliably during our stay. The artwork in the house is delightful—prints and quilts executed with loving and playful craftsmanship. The only caveats—the outside property, while fairly deep, was overgrown in places which enhanced privacy but restricted views, and the house has no automatic dishwasher. Our group of oldsters all remember the days when we had to hand wash all our dishes, but perhaps not everyone renting vacation homes will.

Stayed here for a long weekend with friends, it was perfect for 4 people and a little pup. The garden and outdoor area is gorgeous and it's a short walk to a great beach. The hosts were responsive and friendly when we needed anything, highly recommend.

In late June, 2022, four of us stayed at this clean, artsy, two bedroom, one bath home. One bedroom had an adorable, lit up vanity, which I daily used! The home had good internet connection, powerful central heat and the bathroom shower had good pressure. The beds and living room furniture were comfortable. This home allowed me to bring our two dogs and had a fenced in, large back yard. Outdoors, there was a private hot tub with great jets and a maze of tall flowering hedges which led to a lawn with a magnificent ocean view. There were outdoor chairs. The access to the beach was along a neighborhood path but a person needed to be agile to climb down a short ladder to the beach. For the hot tub, several thick robes were provided, but there were no hooks to hang the damp robes and hot tub towels on. The kitchen had a hodgepodge of dishes and pots and I cooked and served a few meals. However I was annoyed there was no pitcher, there were no empty kitchen cupboard shelves to store our dry food in, there were only three eating forks and that all four chairs did not slide under the folding kitchen table. I had to open the table to six to fit the four chairs, which over crowded the small kitchen. Fortunately I had two metal forks in the car which I added to the utensils. I suggest the owner to clean out the excess pots and broken appliances, (such as a broken espresso maker), clear out two shelves for guest’s food, increase eating forks, put up a wall towel hook rack in hallway by bathroom and replace the kitchen table with a table where all four chairs can easily slide under. Also the home needs a deep clean such as dusting behind the doors and furniture. Despite these few shortcomings, overall this quaint friendly home was a gem! If I decide to take another four day weekend along the Mendocino coast, I will definitely return!

My husband and I were looking for a quiet getaway in Fort Bragg and this property was all we could have asked for. The house location made it easy for us to explore Fort Bragg and Mendocino. We loved all the art in the home. The private beach access was so wonderful, and the hot tub was so relaxing. The kitchen was well equipped and made cooking at the house very easy. We can't wait to return.

We enjoyed our stay and liked the home, but it was not as well-maintained as the price would suggest, starting with a rusty front door knob, old carpets, and clutter in the rooms and kitchen cupboards. A secondary contract, and high mandatory fees not included in the nightly charge increased our expectations. The nearby footpath to a secluded beach, eccentric garden and the eclectic art were the the highlights.

Our stay was exactly what we were hoping for. Very close to shops downtown and the harbor. We got drenched on our whale watching excursion and it was so nice to come back to the house and warm up by the fire. The hot tub was a treat after being chilled to the bone on the boat. There is a beautiful little spot on the property to see the sunset over the ocean. The best part was the hosts...somehow my medication bag must have fallen out of my tote bag as we were gathering up to leave and they had it in the mail headed back to me the very next day. Highly recommend!

Taylor's Grove is Centrally located close to Willets exit for Stump Train, near Mendocino Botanical Gardens, several eateries, markets, and beaches. We learned after our stay that there is beach access near the home, so find that out ahead of time, it looks lovely in the photos. The property manager, Pat is very accommodating and easily reached. The house is large enough for a few more people than we had. The kitchen has all that is needed (but the ingredients) to prepare a meal. BBQ pit on the property with coals in the garage. We did not use it though. The backyard was secure for our 40# Charlie, and we checked it out thoroughly, but you do so also!! He loved being able to be out and explore. The backyard fenced area is large and has many little paths and lots of scents of critters. We also took many walks about the property. It is in the center of other homes, that you really do not see from in the home, but can see parts of if out walking! A lot of interesting artwork around the property and in the home. We did not get to Mendocino but wished we had. Also, if you plan to go to Glass Beach, try to plan it around low tide. We were there near high tide, and very little glass was seen, which was disappointing. We had a nice dinner at Silvers at the Wharf. It was relaxing and delicious, and they made a house margarita that was very good, however, it was pricey. We enjoyed our Stump Train ride out of Willets. It was close to a two-hour ride. We purchased a ticket for our pup, for $10.95, he did not like it much! Due to tunnel damage, the train out of Fort Bragg is less than an hour. Read the reviews before you go. Taylor's Grove is a nice centrally located quiet escape to stay in. I understand the managers have one on the same property with beach access. Not sure if that one is on VRBO or Vacasa, or whatever you are using to book your trip! Robison Properties Mendocino manages this rental and several others.

We arrived to find that the property was not as pictured. The place had a very strong smell of cat urine and the bathroom was moldy around the tub. We stayed 1/2 hour and left. A full prompt refund was given.

The house had everything you could need and more. Tons of kitchen utilities. Cashmere throw blankets, games, books, movies, bath robes! The hot tub was excellent
