Welcome to this Sweet Sanctuary overlooking water, islands, eagles, and a ferry or two.

While outside is magical, inside is furnished to perfection for upscale comfort and function. You will feel well cared for here, in your island sanctuary.

It sits above the waterfront for lovely water views. A sizeable deck wraps the house on the waterside where you can enjoy a BBQ evening.

On a misty night, you may choose to stay indoors, gathered around the glow of a wood burning stove. After conversation and contemplation, sit back and enjoy the cable television, provided in the living room. WIFI internet is also available.

Meal preparation is a joy in this kitchen equipped with an island, maple cabinets, granite counters, and stainless steel appliances. Slate and tile are widely used, including in the attractive bathroom where the radiant heated floors will keep your toes warm.

At the end of the day, there's a comfortable king-size bed in the upper-level master bedroom with amazing views. A second bedroom contains a queen bed and there are two twin beds in the third. The home is built on a high-bank waterfront and the beach below is a private beach for the Sunrise Community, and available for you to enjoy.

Recently remodeled, it is wonderfully fresh and new.

Coming into the property, we noticed that it wasn’t very family friendly. There was nicnaks everywhere, sharp furniture, and very hard floors with no carpet. We have a toddler and we had to move almost everything to make it to where he wouldn’t eat/throw expensive things. The rooms were also deceiving. The queen bedroom has a door, but the king room is just an open space upstairs with no doors. The twin bedroom is very small and only fits those beds! The place seemed like it wasn’t cleaned properly for quite a long time. If you have that many nicnaks you should probably dust them every once in a while. Along with that, there was sewer gas coming up from the sink that made the house smell rancid anytime the sink was used. Outside was a beautiful view, but the deck rail was very wobbly and the chairs were on their last leg. No one was able to sit in them without the fear of it breaking. On top of it all, another family came in around 10pm because the place was double booked on another platform. It was very distressing for both of us. If we would have been asleep like we were planning, our rental would have been filled with random people that we didn’t invite. Overall, we probably wouldn’t stay here again.

Just a beautiful spot on a beautiful island. We had everything we needed. Amazing setting for enchanted views all day. Loved having access to the neighborhood beach, bikes and more. Matt was a great host. He stopped by and gave us info about all the important places to visit. Everyone was not to be missed!

Absolutely beautiful property and location!! Even better than we expected. The view is stunning - at sunrise, sunset, and everything in between. All very clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed to barbecue a wonderful dinner. The wood stove was so cozy for the cooler evening and was even prepped and ready to simply light the match! We stopped here for one night on a bike packing trip around the islands at it was a fantastic choice. Thank you so much!!

Loved the view and location. Enjoyed all the hikes on the island. Our phone carrier Verizon and internet had issues on Lopez. The kitchen was well stocked and the owner provided us with bicycles! Be prepared for the light in two of the bedrooms to wake you up in the morning, but we are early risers. Enjoy!

We enjoyed our stay but have a few comments. The photos don't show that there are other houses/ occupied lots on either side of the cabin. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen well stocked. The wood supply wasn't as shown in the photos.

Loved the fireplace, loved the view, loved stargazing on the deck, the little walk way to get closer to the water (though a bit steep and slippery), loved that each bedroom faced the water, loved cooking in kitchen. So much convenience and comfort. Really appreciated all the attention to detail. Before we arrived, Matt setup the small christmas tree and lights as well as got the fireplace ready to light. We got to meet him as we arrived and he had so many recommendations of places to go and see. It was a real joy to spend the time there and made working remote for part of the visit worthwhile to take breaks in between to admire the view and listen to the water.

The view was absolutely amazing! Everywhere in the house had the had perfect views. Just sitting on the deck watching the eagles was amazing! The driveway way a little hard to maneuver with our truck, but we made it! It is not very wide. We had a relaxing and great time at the house.

This was the perfect house for a quick trip (one night) to Lopez Island while my parents were visiting from the east coast. The house was cozy and the location was peaceful, with great views of the water and surrounding islands and a short drive to town. We all wished we were staying more than one night!

To start, the home and view were lovely, and just as advertised. However, when we arrived at the given check-in time, we found the home uncleaned and the owner in the back, staining the deck. He explained he had misread the calendar and thought we were checking in the next day, but I confirmed that we were supposed to be checking in that day. He asked us to come back in an hour and a half, and did offer to pay for our dinner somewhere in town- however, we'd had a long journey, a bag of groceries with a plan to cook dinner our one night at the home, as well as two dogs and tired grandparents so while the offer to pay for dinner was kind and the very least he did offer, it didn't quite work for us. We did leave and came back an hour and a half later, and made the best of the rest of our evening. I understand mistakes happen, and appreciate the owners quick actions in attempt to rectify things, however, it was still less than ideal and the home wasn't very clean. But assuming that doesn't happen for others, then I'm sure you'd have an excellent stay at this lovely home with a gorgeous view.

We were comfortable at this place. When we first got there, though, there was a towel under the fridge and water was leaking out of the freezer. After awhile, we realized that the housekeeper probably was defrosting the freezer. We thought we should let you know that in case that was not the case and the fridge needed some attention. Thank you for the nice place. It was nice to have a place to relax.

The house is a slice of paradise. The view is extraordinary. Quiet and nestled in the trees. You really feel like you’re someplace far away. The minute we walked in we canceled our dinner reservations and hit the grocery store instead. We wanted to spend as much time as possible here. Only recommendations are more lighting above the dining room table (so we could play board games) and the bed in the main room is very high off the floor. I didn’t mind the climb but I could see others struggling with it. Will be back!

We were only able to stay one night due to my mom's travel plans, but we hope to come back for a longer stay someday! What a lovely home. The windows provide a serene view at all times. The neighborhood is so peaceful. It was my mom's 65th birthday, and this was the perfect relaxing place for us to celebrate. The salon and wine were a perfect touch. Somehow the dogs seemed right at home. The property manager was so kind and helpful, too.

The view was fantastic watching ferries go in and out and bald eagles flying by. The big beds were very good. I would advise taking your own coffee pot as the one there takes over an hour to brew a full pot. The cooking stove was also very slow to heat up. We had a lovely, quiet stay though and enjoyed our time on Lopez.

Multiple Neighbors are extremely close! Listened to construction most of the day. Was not peaceful. The home needs to be better maintained. It was not cleaned very well. Alot of money to stay in this home only to have to do alot of cleaning . Rips in the furniture made the living area not so nice to relax in. Wood stove was not able to be used due to door handle was broken.The heat exaust for the home was piped out to deck ,smelled bad. So we had to turn off the heat to house to enjoy this space. My husband had to clean the bathroom before we used it. Radiate flooring didn't warm up. Damp bed linens were left in the dryer and the washer was so dirty and rusted. Outlets kept popping in the kitchen. Under sink odor was just plain gross. We didn't enjoy the bedroom upstairs due to no lights working. We have visited the Islands before and I have to say it was a very disappointing stay. Lopez it self was beautiful but this house was just not enjoyable.

lovely loc. But... Bannister to second floor is not to code and difficult for us older folks, super high king bed is difficult, no railing by steps just inside the house (also not to code). Many rocks along driveway make driving and opening car doors tough (took a toll on our vehicles). Couldn't get tv to work -- no batteries in remote, no reception when we got that fixed. Owner was helpful, but took many tries. Info on internet connection is out of date on web and in in-house book. Finally -- and a big one! The second "bathroom" is just a toilet and sink in laundry room and difficult to use -- not properly described on-line. These are all things that can be fixed fairly easily and I am sure would be appreciated by other renters.

There were a few small (to us) details that I didn’t realize based on the listing—master with a view is up steep stairs, and the seating around the fire pit was lackluster. There are also no window treatments so the late summer nights and early mornings may be a problem for some but we enjoyed the long days and the view! Overall this house was a good base for our island getaway and Matthew was helpful and accommodating.

This was the perfect location to get ready for my wedding. My bridemaids and I enjoyed the view very much while we snacked and had our hair done. The house has a lot of charm. The only thing I didn't realize when looking at the listing was that the master bedroom upstairs doesn't have a closing door so there is less privacy in that room but it didn't matter for us. Something to be aware of though! Great property. Thank you!

Two of the bedrooms are upstairs and both bathrooms are downstairs which may be inconvenient for some folks. We appreciated the kindess of the Lopez Island residents and the slow, laid back vibe of the island. Overall a very peaceful visit.

The house setting was quiet and peaceful with a nice view for chilling. My dog says thanks for being pet friendly-much better than the prison kennel. The house was well supplied with everything you need. The beds and furniture were comfortable. Nice touches included 1) firewood for the fire ring in the evening, 2) an internet connection that worked just fine, 3) a nice outdoor deck for the sunny days, 4) good water pressure, and 5) popcorn for munching. We got to meet owner Matt who was a nice guy-thanks for sharing your wonderful getaway.

We walked in and probably the best fire I've ever seen was roaring in the fireplace! Such a treat. Beautiful views from the big windows. Kitchen was well equipped. Loved that there was a mud room in the entry way to keep our boots after our morning hikes. Perfect location for accessing the whole island. My only tip is to restart the router if the internet is giving you problems. That seemed to make a big difference for us. I would definitely recommend this home for a relaxing getaway. The smoked salmon bonus was also phenomenal.
