This unit has recessed lighting throughout! When entering this property you will feel right at home, and be totally impressed with all it has to offer. We recently added brand new smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors throughout the property along with child safety features for doors and windows. This property has it all and you will be completely blown away with how well kept this property is.

Dan was extremely easy to rent from. The rental was perfect for our stay & everything in the pictures is accurate. I can't wait to rent from him again!

Excellent communication with Dan who facilitated a smooth entry and exit to the property. The overall property condition was good, however first impressions are important. The entry stairway carpeting into the unit was very dirty and worn. The paint job in the main hallway from the entry door to the living room was touched up halfway and unprofessional. Bedrooms closer to Keenan's Bar were noisy into the morning hours; no fault of the unit owner. Lastly, providing our own linens, paper products (toilet paper and paper towels), and removing garbage to an off-site facility was not a showstopper, but certainly doesn't feel like a weekend getaway. That may be standard procedure for the Jersey shore, but no where else I have ever traveled. Having said all that, we thoroughly enjoyed walking the neighborhood, the historic lighthouse grounds, and the wall along the beach. Beautiful.

The Context: My family of 5 needed a place to stay for a busy weekend (2 nights) filled with wedding festivities in nearby Stone Harbor.
The Good: The place was spacious, comfortable, clean, and a couple of blocks from a gorgeous beach.
The Not as Good:
1. Inaccurate Listing: The listing was not accurate as the host did not indicate that guests must provide basic supplies. We intentionally reserved a place that did not require guests to provide linens, towels, and other basic supplies due to our short stay and packed wedding schedule. Unfortunately, two days before we were due to arrive, the host sent us an agreement that stated we were to provide all of the above. When I informed him that this was not indicated on the listing and that I would not have reserved this place if it had, he appeared very frustrated and diminished my concerns. He said that everyone knows to bring their own linens and supplies and made it seem like I was being unreasonable. He reluctantly agreed to buy sheets and drop them off (unwashed) after I expressed my dismay. Once I arrived and complained that basic supplies, like trash bags were not supplied, he became angry and accused me of giving him “a hard time about extremely minor things”. He told me to go to a store and buy trash bags so that I could follow his instructions of taking the trash out of the condo and taking it to the garage or local waste center. He also said that he regretted buying the sheets for us as we were so demanding. These interactions were unpleasant and stressful.
2. The Noise: The place is across the street from a strip of bars, which had live music and typical bar noise that lasted long into the evening. The large parking lot right next to the place was used by bar patrons, having loud (inebriated) conversations directly under the bedroom windows after the bars closed. To make matters worse, that same parking lot is used by municipal trash trucks to empty all the trash and recycling cans from the beaches AT 6:30 AM SUNDAY MORNING!
3. Inappropriate Communication by Host: From the start, the host communicated directly with me via text rather than through the VRBO platform. This made me uncomfortable for obvious reasons. He also tried to convince me to rent directly from him (saying I would save hundreds of dollars) instead of going through VRBO. I declined that offer because I wanted to have the company behind me should there be a dispute or other problem.
