About this house rental
Whether you’re an adventurous traveler who loves to hike or one who prefers to unwind with a few good books during your well-earned vacation, we believe you'll love our family’s pet-friendly hideaway. It backs to a private canyon that offers frequent wildlife visits, a lush desert landscape and red rock views.
Our property is especially popular with squadrons of javelinas (collared peccaries) who regularly traipse through the back canyon, mostly single-file, with babies trying to keep pace with their elders. It's quite a sight to see! It's also the reason we gave our place the nickname "Javelina Haven."
From the great room, breakfast nook, dining area, primary bedroom and the wraparound patio, you’ll not only witness the wildlife visits, but will also see the formations known as Thunder Mountain, Three Golden Chiefs and Sugarloaf. The scenic Sugarloaf Trailhead, which provides hiking and mountain bike access to a host of trails, is about two short blocks from our vacation home.
Need to work remotely during your trip? We have you covered with free, fast WiFi. Imagine yourself sitting on the patio savoring the cool mountain air while logging into work.
From the luxury mattresses and high-quality bed linens to the thick cotton towels in the bathrooms; from the great room’s kiva fireplace and smart TV to the well-stocked kitchen with all newer appliances and granite countertops, you’ll be pleasantly surprised at how our place brings you so much value for your traveling dollars. Oh, and should you wish to wash some clothes during your visit, there is a fully-equipped laundry room for your use.
Our custom built, three-bedroom, two-bath Pueblo-style home is tucked away in the quiet, semi-rural “Coffee Pot” neighborhood near the rock formation of the same name. Our getaway is on Maxwell House Drive. You’ll see other streets carrying similarly vintage coffee brand names to carry out the theme: Sanborn, Farmer Brothers, and Nescafe. Our major cross street, off Highway 89, is Coffee Pot Drive. It’s clear that those who laid out the area's streets had some fun naming them!

The property has a very spacious common area with comfortable seating at the table and on the couch. The deck and the back yard views are very inviting, with birds and javelinas frequently sited.The kitchen is well equipped with high quality appliances and cookware. The decor with local artwork adds a very nice touch. We loved staying there for our family vacation!We would like to come back in the future.Thank you!

The home was conveniently located in West Sedona close to shopping and restaurants. The backyard featured small hills that gave you a sense of privacy and a country feel. A band of Javelinas did stroll through the backyard one morning as the host indicated may occur. The house had a spacious and functional open floor plan that was very relaxing after a day spent hiking and sightseeing. The kitchen was well equipped for preparing meals in-house. The bedrooms were comfortable and bathrooms well stocked with instantaneous hot water. Our party included two couples, though the house could have easily accommodated more folks. We did partake of the host’s suggestion to hike up Sugarloaf Mountain with the trail being easily accessible from the neighborhood. In my opinion, you would be hard pressed to find another house offering the spaciousness, comfort and convenience at a reasonable price point as of “Cool West Sedona” retreat. We would certainly stay here again on future travels to Sedona. If you are planning travel to Sedona and this house is available, don’t give it a second thought, book it!
