Set among the pines near Fort Rock Park, Sumac 9 is a bright and welcoming Sunriver retreat designed for families and friends who want plenty of room to gather, relax, and enjoy Central Oregon together. With reverse living, air conditioning, a private hot tub, multiple decks, and a newly remodeled kitchen, the home offers an easy balance of comfort and recreation throughout the year.
Upstairs, the main gathering level feels open and inviting, with comfortable furnishings, abundant natural light, and a classic wood-burning fireplace that makes cool Sunriver evenings especially cozy. The reverse-living design keeps the kitchen, dining area, and living room together, creating a natural space for shared meals, conversation, and evenings spent unwinding after a day outdoors.
The newly remodeled kitchen is well equipped for everything from leisurely breakfasts to family dinners, with ample workspace and the essentials you need for cooking during your stay. A Nespresso machine is also provided, so bring your preferred compatible small capsules for your morning coffee.
Step outside onto the upper deck to enjoy the quiet of the pines, gather for an outdoor meal, or settle into the private hot tub at the end of the day. A second lower deck provides even more room to enjoy the fresh Central Oregon air.
The sleeping arrangements give families and groups a comfortable mix of privacy and flexibility. Upstairs, Bedroom One has a king bed, Smart TV, and workstation, along with a private ensuite bathroom featuring an oversized shower with dual showerheads.
Downstairs, Bedroom Two has a king bed, Smart TV, and access to a Jack-and-Jill bathroom with a shower-over-tub. Bedroom Three has a queen bed, full-size futon, TV, and access to the same Jack-and-Jill bathroom. Bedroom Four has a queen bed and an adjacent full bathroom with a shower-over-tub. Keeping most of the bedrooms on the lower level creates a quieter place to settle in while the main living areas remain upstairs.
When it is time to play, Sumac 9 makes it easy to stay entertained without leaving home. Challenge the group to ping pong, cornhole, or oversized Connect Four, or take one of the five adult cruiser-style bikes out to explore Sunriver’s miles of paved pathways.
Sumac 9 is dog-friendly for up to two dogs, with applicable pet fees. No other pets are permitted.
Whether your Sunriver days are filled with adventure or simply time together around the fire, Sumac 9 offers a comfortable place to slow down, reconnect, and enjoy the rhythm of Central Oregon.
AGE RESTRICTIONS: Guests must be 23 years or older to rent Bennington homes and the person reserving must occupy the home the whole reservation.

We loved this property! It was very clean, had everything we needed, and was located close to everything. We cooked two dinners and three breakfasts at home, and the kitchen was fully equipped with everything that we needed. The appliances are new and everything was very clean. The primary bathroom is newly remodeled and is gorgeous. The downstairs rooms fit all of our older kids perfectly. The dining room and upstairs living room are spacious and were perfect for big, family meals and game nights. We will definitely be renting this house again in the future.

Rating Details:The property manager was very helpful.The vacation rental was spotless.I was very happy with the location.I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental.Overall, I recommend this vacation rental.Reviewer Comments:I've stayed in 9 Sumac twice. Once with my husband and our two girls, and my mom, and my sister with her two boys. That stay was in July and my only complaint was that the house gets a lot of direct sun and was HOT HOT HOT on summer afternoons. Otherwise, we love the property, especially with the hot tub being on the deck upstairs! Our second stay was just this month, and it was perfect for our family plus two others, each with little boys. Bennington's customer service is what seals the deal for us. When the office staff learned that we were there celebrating the sale of our home, purchase of a new home, and my husband's birthday, they delivered a card and 6 pack of microbrew to our front door. VERY NICE TOUCH!
