About this house rental
Bolton Cove is a relaxing, family-owned and operated vacation home community located in beautiful Lake Martin's Parker Creek area. Lake Martin was created in 1926 by damming the Tallapoosa River was, with over 750 miles of shoreline, the largest man-made lake in the world. Bolton Cove itself is a gated community of only a few homes offering many amenities such as a community swimming pool, pool house, private beach, large community boat dock, and playground.
As with all homes in Bolton Cove, 12 Cricket Lane is located directly on the water. This 3-story home has 4 bedrooms which includes a bonus room, 3.5 bathrooms and offers wonderful views of the lake from the living room, master bedroom, and 2 lakeside porches. The upstairs porch also features a gas grill. The kitchen is fully equipped with high end appliances such as a refrigerator, cooktop, stove, Keurig coffee maker, and a wine cooler. We also provide plates, glasses, utensils, bowls, pots, and pans for your next gathering.
The living room and master bedroom both have gas fireplaces if you need to warm up.
With the 4 bedrooms, the master has a king bed with a private bathroom, the guest bedroom has a queen bed sharing a bathroom with the kids’ bedroom having a bunk bed and a twin bed. Additionally, the bonus room has 2 futon beds and a bunk bed. All beds have sheets and blankets, and we also provide soap, shampoo, and towels in all bathrooms.
There is private Wi-Fi throughout the home and the televisions in the living room and bedrooms are all SmartTVs with Spectrum cable so you can enjoy your favorite shows.
Bolton Cove is conveniently located only minutes by car or boat to popular places like Willow Point, Catherine’s Market, SpringHouse restaurant, Children’s Harbor, and the Landing restaurant.
OPTIONAL PONTOON BOAT: Enjoy the lake with our optional 22-foot pontoon boat. With a 115-horsepower engine, you can pull the kids on a tube or just cruise the lake with your friends and family. If you are interested in renting the pontoon boat for an additional $300 per day plus gas, which is available May 1 - October 1. Please ask in advance so we can confirm availability.

This was our second stay and we would book again. The house comfortably fit our group and the pool and playground were great bonuses. The property manager, Courtland, is very responsive and a great help with any questions.

We take a large family here every year for vacation. We rent all 4 houses and really enjoy the cleanliness, peacefulness, and privacy of this gated community. The pool is fantastic. They are very responsive to any request we have had. Thankful and blessed.

Courtland was amazing to communicate with. He was prompt with his responses, provided all information needed. We rented all four homes on the property. The outdoor layout was perfect and had great flow. the proximity of the houses to each other and the outdoor amenities provided wonderful gathering spaces and memories to be made. Courtland was prompt in addressing maintenance issues included a broken a/c in the house, broken fridge in the pool house, and a few other things in the other houses. He reimbursed Us for the broken air conditioner, the boat that we rented that killed while driving, and the inaccurate bedroom count posted in the description. These things were frustrating, but due to his responsiveness, we felt these things did not result in a terrible stay. Unfortunately, two very significant issues in houses 10 and 12 were not able to be addressed while we were there. In house 12, mold was visible on multiple surfaces (around light fixtures, air vents, mirrors, ceiling), there was a very obvious smell of must/mold, and bats could be both heard in the walls around the chimney in houses 10 and 12. Near the end of the week, a bat flew out of the unsealed 1-1.5 inch gap between the wall and fireplace and into the den while we were gathered. Cortland was apologetic and verbally indicated that he would address bags and mold. If these issues can be completely and appropriately resolved, then the rentals have potential.
