About this house rental
Starfish Cottage is a small retreat full of peace and beauty. You will stay comfortable with a new ac/heat pump, 4 ceiling fans, LaZBoy furniture including a reclining sofa. Light pours in from the many windows, and new lighting was added in the kitchen, making the whole home cheerful and airy. You’ll immediately notice the gorgeous flooring, as well as coastal-inspired decor throughout.
Starfish Cottage boasts a Bosch dishwasher, new refrigerator, and top of the line washer and dryer for your use in the laundry room off the carport. There is direct access to the fenced backyard from the primary bedroom using the beautiful French doors. This bedroom has a 4-poster queen-sized bed, the 2nd bedroom has 2 Pottery Barn twin beds. If you need it, you are welcome to also use the twin sized air mattress which is stored in the bedroom closet.
There is an outdoor shower for a quick rinse when you return from a day on your beach! The back yard is private and fenced and has an umbrella table with chairs and a grill. You can walk to Alfie’s in the mornings for breakfast before using our beach chairs, beach towels, bike and body boards. There are sand toys for the little ones. On rainy days we have games, cards, wi-fi, movies.
100 yds away is a new fishing dock and kayak launch.
Starfish Cottage allows a well-behaved pet for a fee, but we do require that you keep your pet off of the beds and furniture, please. When you are away and your pet is staying home, please keep your dog in a crate or kennel.
We have a 2 TV’s, one in the living area and one in the primary bedroom, but do not offer cable. The Sling app is availablefor your use and provides many channels also. We have a selection of DVD movies or you can bring some of your own. We also have wi-fi for your enjoyment.

We enjoyed our stay. The owner responded very quickly to anything we needed. It was a 10 minute walk to the beach, where there is a nice public access with restrooms,lifeguard, etc. We enjoyed the outdoor shower when we got home each day to try to keep some of the sand outdoors. There is also a dock overlooking the river just a minute in the other direction from the house also. So you can see a sunset or sunrise pretty easily :) The neighborhood is quiet and felt safe. Only one night did we hear someone up partying. The owner has done a good job finding pieces that include some storage possibilities for longer stays (there's no dresser in the twin bedroom, but is a regular sized closet, my kids put their clothes in the entertainment center drawers). It would have been nice to know that we could not let our dog out into the backyard from the house (had to go out through the carport), but I hear a new door is being installed in the master so that will be nice for future renters. The kitchen mostly had everything we needed for cooking during our stay. We appreciated the body boards, beach chairs, and sand toys also. Thanks for a nice stay!

This little beach house is very well decorated, simple, clean & comfortable. I love how it isnt crowded with too many things, but is just perfect for the family get away! This is most ideal for a family of 4 or less, perfect for a family with children. A short walk to the beach and the 2 small beds in the extra bedroom are great for kids! We had 2 grandparent adults (adult siblings) staying in town for our family reunion, stay here in this home, so one of them had to sleep in the kids room. It would be nice to have adult sized beds for the kids room, but it worked and the mattresses are comfortable! Although we didnt have any pets with us, both adults staying here are pet owners and I would highly recommend this as an excellent rental home for the pet owner who loves to travel with their beloved 4 legged family member. Someone with extreme pet allergies, I would just be aware this is a pet-friendly home. It is so hard to find pet friendly homes that are CLEAN and very nice looking - this is by far the best Ive seen thats also pet friendly. The owners are so very very kind and gracious who have gone well above and beyond to make sure we had all we needed and if we had any questions, they always responded with in 1-5 minutes which is amazing! Thank you for letting us rent your home, we are so grateful that we found it and were able to have a wonderful family reunion this weekend! We look forward to making this an annual event.
