About this cabin rental

The Rancher is a comfortable, convenient and cozy cabin. Its amenities include a fully equipped kitchen with 5 ft. trestle table in the dining area, washer & dryer, central heat & air, wood burning fireplace, two bedrooms, 1 bath, jacuzzi in one of the bedrooms, covered porch w/swing and rocker, covered carport and Weber charcoal grill. There is also a TV (w/cable hookup) and a DVD player. There is a patio area outside the French doors. There is a panoramic mountain view all around the cabin. The yard surrounding the cabin is great for children to safely run and play. Our Rancher is a non-smoking cabin.

Clean, quiet, peaceful, and beautiful view. Most gracious VRBO host ever. Easy directions and access to the home. Fantastic water pressure. Beds were comfortable. Morning coffee on the porch was wonderful. Close enough to town for shopping but far enough away to be out of the hustle/bustle of the Ballon Fest and then the Jeep Fest the following weekend. This will definitely be the rental we choose for return trips to Townsend. It was a great much needed relaxing vacation.

We enjoyed staying in Melody’s rancher . Melody is the sweetest , most helpful host . The rancher is super clean and so cozy . I slept better there than at our own house because the mattress is so comfortable ! The property and view is beautiful and so peaceful ! It Thank you so much , Melody !!

The stay was great. Great little old house in a quite area. Good views. Only issue i had is the water heater does not supply enough hot water to fill the jetted tub. That was my only disappointment with this house. Would recommend this place to stay

The Ranch was nice. It was exactly as advertised. Perfect for small family that needs basic accommodations (ie- no wi-fi ,no dishwasher, mostly basic amenities, etc). My only real complaint is that the hot tub/spa tub is a garden tub in the large bedroom. It took about an hour to get the water up to the jet level, and by that time, the water was lukewarm. Melody was very nice, and very responsive.

This is an amazing place. It is nestled in the country with beautiful views. The moon rose behind the mountains and it was so cool. VERY clean. I check below the surface. A wet paper towel rubbed across the kitchen floor remained clean!! The beds were very comfortable, and all was tastefully decorated. I can say with 100% honestly, that i slept better here than anywhere else i have stayed. I highly recommended and would definitely come back! wet paper towel rubbed acros

The Rancher had everything we needed for our stay and the added bonus of some of our favorite food seasonings in the cabinet (it’s the little things). The Cozy Cottage was everything we had hoped for: Great location near Cades Cove, the giant cave, and great hikes. The place was clean and spacious. A nice home away from home in the Smoky Mountains! The horses out back were fun to watch too.

Everything was lovely during our stay at Melody's cottage. It was very neat and clean and perfect for our short stay near Great Smoky Mtns park. We enjoyed cooking in the evening and sitting outside enjoying the view from out back or the cute covered patio. Our daughter especially enjoyed seeing the horses on the property. Melody was lovely and very responsive to any questions before or during our stay. It was the perfect spot to end our first visit to Tennessee!

We had a wonderful stay! The cabin has everything you need, including a toaster and laundry! It's perfect for 3-4 people who want to explore the Smoky Mountains and avoid busy Gatlinburg. The bed is super comfy; the sheets are nice to the skin; the pillows are perfect for my neck (and that's not usually the case). Melody was wonderful and left the lights on so we could find the cabin when we arrived late. Overall, loved everything about it!

One of my fav vacation rentals ever. such a charming house with amazing views of the smokies from the kitchen window and front porch (complete with porch swing!). clean property which felt very authentic for the area. we were so glad to avoid the manufactured tourism and crowds of places like Gatlinburg and found Townsend charming and off the beaten path. also, this place was so low maintenance and well stocked which is such a relief since so many rentals lately feel high maintenance between rules, limitations, clean up etc. would absolutely stay here again!
