Japanese cozy house, Easy access to Namba-Kyoto-KIX

Location was close to city with 1 train or bus and close to a convenience store. Host provided lots of recommendations and instructions and is in contact to ensure enjoyable stay.

The communication with the host Yoshi was not only great before our arrival, but also during our stay as he replies fast and is really helpful all while being friendly. Our group consisted of three people and the house was for Japanese standards enormously spacious for our needs, so several more people can fit easily. Everything was clean and directly usable. Accordingly, we did the laundry several times and during our first attempt, we had understanding issues as the buttons are described in Japanese. This could have been prevented if we hadn't overlooked the English-written folder on the living room table which contains not only the washing machine instructions, but also helpful general Osaka information. The second separate toilet is rather hidden on the first floor within the traditional Japanese tatami room and was nice to have, however only suitable for slimmer/smaller people when one wishes for it to be closed. Nevertheless, the "main" toilet on the ground floor should work without any problems for everybody. Both the included umbrellas and bicycles were used several times by us, so they were highly appreciated. The bicycles are not necessary though as the Osaka loop line is a short walking distance away from the house, but it was fun to use them anyway. Although it is mentioned that the house is close to a road and train tracks, the noise was scarcely audible. On top of that, it seems like trains pass by rarely - at least from evenings until mornings when we were there. After our stay was booked, Yoshi sent a home page for the guest house which greatly facilitates the mandatory legal process dictated by Kyoto for a stay in a privately owned accomodations. Also listed on the web site are restaurant recommendations in the neighborhood and all the options we tried were excellent. Should we return to Japan one day, we will definitely book Yoshi's house again and would try out his guest house in Kyoto as well!
