About this house rental
Enjoy staying at this one of kind beach bungalow for your special occasions or just a family fun retreat. Built-in 1930, historical Florida charm, this adorable quaint home with lots of character has much to offer starting with the pristine water of the Sarasota bay just steps from the front door. Enjoy a morning coffee while looking out over the bay. Easy access to the quaint community beach and boat launch are great for a quick dip or going on a kayak adventure. It is a public boat ramp, so it can be busy at times, however, there is limited parking and people typically drop their boat in the water and go, we have found it fun to watch the people. We are also across the street from Mar Vista restaurant, extremely convenient for dinner, but has restaurant traffic. The noise ordinances on Longboat Key prohibits live music etc, so it stays fairly quiet. We continue to upgrade the property, but it does have its quirks due to age, for example, the switch in the bedroom closet turns on your living room lights. We personally love the little quirks of the past.
A shopping plaza, Avenue of the Flowers, is just down the road, offering a wine and liquor store, breakfast restaurant, bar, and pizza restaurant. High-quality Municipal Tennis Courts are nearby and a four-foot-wide sidewalk extends for most of Longboat Key with seven to eight miles for jogging, rollerblading, walking, and biking, and walking your dog. One can also walk Longboat beach for the same distance, and shelling is a favorite activity.
There are also bike lanes on both sides of Gulf of Mexico Drive for extreme bike riders. Longboat Key is a very upscale barrier island that is connected by bridges to Anna Maria Key to the North and St. Armand's Key and Sarasota to the South. Sarasota Airport is an easy 15-20 minute drive and Tampa International Airport is an hour's drive North.
Less than 2 miles from the famous and lovely St. Armand's Circle. Walk or take the Trolley or park in the many spaces provided.

Great location in Longboat Key! Convenient to everything. House is comfortable and stocked with all that you will need. Hosts is very responsive.

We had a great stay. Loved the cottage, was very comfortable, and had everything we needed. Really enjoyed the front porch with the rocking chairs. Had coffee out there every morning, enjoying the view of the bay. Great communication with the host. Have rebooked for next year

This property is a gem! The pictures don’t do it justice. From the moment we walked in, we were amazed by the 180 degree views of the bay. The thoughtfully placed recliners in front of the huge windows looking out to the water we’re enjoyed every day! The house is clean and had all of the necessities we needed! The kitchen is well stocked and we loved the built in dining table. Dana was a pleasure to communicate with and very responsive. We could not have been happier with this house and will be back one day for sure!
