This house was in a great location. We were able to walk to the strip for all the festivities. Pretty quiet neighborhood. Home was very clean and had all the essentials needed for a couple night stay.

Positive: Location was great. Home was very clean.Negative: no central A/C. There was a floor unit in the kitchen and dining area, but none in the living room and only one of the two bedrooms had a window unit. Listing also stated there was 1 queen bed and 1 king bed, but both were queen beds. The storm door handle kept falling off.Overall a pleasant stay other than warm temperatures inside due to 90 degree plus days.Price was reasonable compared to other properties in the area.

Easy check-in, big kitchen/dining area. Nice family room, internet was spotty but workable. We enjoyed s'mores around the firepit while our pups romped in the backyard. We could hear bands play from the Strip, made for relaxing evenings. We enjoyed our stay, thank you!!

Just a short walk to the strip. Location was good. Backyard was great for games and a fire. Air conditioning wasn't the greatest, but better than 93 and humid like the outside. Property came with everything you could ask for. The toilet handle broke, and maintenance was there to fix it in 20 minutes.

Great little house. Whoever the cleaning service is- Does a great job! House is fully stocked. Has pamphlets on hand with restaurants and activities to do in the area. It rained a lot while we were there, so we did not get to use the firepit. You are just a few driving minutes away from the main street.

Forest Lake House was the perfect place for our four night stay with our large dogs. The home was extremely clean, and had everything we needed. The location couldn't have been better. It was far enough from the GOTL strip to not hear the noise, but close enough to walk the dogs to a great lake front park and the strip. Our dogs loved the large fully fenced backyard which had a nice fire pit and picnic table. The bed we used was extremely comfortable. Would definitely stay again!!!

Lindsey was easy to work with and very helpful. The property is a great location, close enough to the strip to walk but not too close that you hear all the noise at night. There were a few minor things that needed attention, crumbs and objects left in the furniture. Towels left under the bed from the previous guest. The yard is very large but much of it is not upkept, behind the garage area. The firepit was kind of a mess from previous guests.

Place was great. Very clean & plenty of towels. Charlie, our labradoodle, loved the big enclosed backyard. East walk to the strip & very quite. Bring your hairdryer…..we had to buy one. No ice in freezer; no ice trays. One thing wished they provided, at least the trays. Would definitely stay again….A rating!

We have been staying at the same place over the last 11 to 12 years at GOTL. This time it happen to be booked. So we found this place and we will not go back are old spot! This location worked awesome for us. Seconds from the strip yet far enough away to not hear all the noise. Plus a gated in lot for our furs baby’s to play in. We will be back and also telling our GOTL friends about this great vacation location !

House had everything I needed for a relaxing weekend get away…. Really enjoyed the yard and fire pit. Weekend after my 51st birthday so all my family popped in at some point over the weekend. Very close to everything, without being right in the fray of activity on the strip…loved it. Cant wait to do it again!!

We were satisfied that this property is a 10 minute walk to the strip. Clean. Nice fire pit out back with a woodsy feel.. The backyard is fenced in but I wouldn't count on it for larger dogs (or very small ones) -as the fence is in poor condition in a few spots with some adjacent vegetation growth. I believe a window AC might serve the house better than the existing floor model AC. The floor unit doesn't have a lot of oomph, and temperatures above 76F it seems it may struggle to cool but just the immediate dining room. Overall not a bad spot, needs better AC for deep summer. PS> I was surprised that owner had not responded to a courtesy, informative email I sent. Though perhaps it was not absolutely necessary, it would have been a nice touch for a response.

Place is very relaxing. Loved the yard and firepit. Disappointed the chairs for around the fire, were not cleaned from what looked like last season. Spent some time scrubbing dirt and green algea off of 6 chairs. Chairs do need to be replaced, all are cracked and some of us got pinched by them...ouch! But we made due...so nice sitting out there at night...quiet and peaceful. Took charcoal because from pictures of site, shows charcoal or propane and states that neither are provided. There is just a gas grill only and there was propane, thank goodness! The house was very clean and worked out well. The bedroom off the kitchen does not have a window ac...room got warm and stuffy. It is a great location..far enough from strip not to hear noise, but close enough to walk if you are a walker. Had a great time!

The inside of the house must have been recently updated... bathroom was very clean as well as the kitchen and the beds had a memory foam feeling.. very comfortable!! Pull out was a typical “uncomfortable feel” but young children probably won’t mind. If you have pet allergies you may want to ask manager to remove the aerial rugs if they have not been cleaned as of today (August 8th, 2020) per hair was very noticeable ... that was the only issue we had with allergies. Walking distance to lake and downtown. Unique “ throw back” town... reminded me of the Jersey boardwalk on the street! Definitely recommend.

Inside of home is very clean with comfortable beds and well supplied kitchen. Lindsay was very responsive to any questions. The back yard has a nice fire pit area. All chairs need replaced in back yard due to cracking.

The property is as described...very clean, updated and cozy. Great to have the fenced backyard for the pups but much of it is overgrown which concerned us for their safety. The red Barn in the backyard is in bad shape and detracts from the property. Also, beware of the guy next door who likes to go outside without bottoms on in broad daylight. 😬😬

This was our first VRBO. The property looked clean and location was close to the main strip. Communication with Lindsay was quick and easy. When we got there, the property was better than expected. Super clean and cozy, and the huge backyard was complete fenced in, which was great for our little dog who was happy to explore every inch. Beds were comfy, though sofa bed was a little uncomfortable. If you're picky about your sleeping arrangements, bring your own pillows and blankets. Property only had one bathroom, which was a challenge for the 6 of us staying there, but we made it work. Otherwise, zero complaints. Location was extremely convenient: 3 min drive or 15 min walk. We opted to walk back and forth, and it seemed to get shorter each time. The walk was nice, especially to get donuts in the morning and after a big meal. Would definitely stay here again. The house location was the perfect distance to the public beach, the strip and to Mary’s diner for breakfast. We enjoyed the large kitchen table to play games and backyard for a bonfire to end the night. The owner had great response time via text messages and had detail responses and accommodations. Definitely would stay again!

My family and I had a wonderful weekend here! We spent a lot of time catching up and enjoying each others company outside on the patio, which felt very private and comfortable. It was also wonderful to be able to have our dogs with us since they are part of the family too.

The house was fine a little hot as ac was limited. Lovely garden and close to all amenities. Barn was run down and took away from overall appearance. Didn’t want to know what could be lurking in there but didn’t see anything untoward. Would stay there again
