About this cottage rental
Whether looking for a place to relax and unwind or spend all day sitting in the sand and swimming off the beach, the Yellow Cottage on Archer Lake is the place to be. Sit on the beach and enjoy your favorite summer beverage as you watch the boats come and go out of the nearby channel to Marble Lake, or grab your fishing pole and catch a monster Bass right off the private lake shore that you’ll have all to yourself.
The Yellow Cottage sits on 100ft of lake front shoreline and has a 40ft private dock that you can park your boat at, or rent our pontoon and it will be sitting at the dock when you arrive. The dock extends out into deep water so "Go Jump In The Lake"!! The kids will love the "seaweed free" swimming and the beach. We also have two 10ft Kayaks for you to enjoy.
If you don't have a boat of your own or need more seating capacity, ask about the 21ft (12 passenger) pontoon, and if it's available when you send your booking enquiry. It rents for $850 per week ($425 less than the marina). The pontoon has a 50HP (4-Stroke) motor, and provides plenty of space to haul all your families lake rafts, noodles, beach bags, coolers, etc. It also has a retractable Bimini cover to keep you cool in the shade and a center table for your lake day family picnic .
The Yellow Cottage sits on a large lot which provides plenty of room for outdoor activities for both kids & adults. You’ll have plenty of room for Corn-Hole, Baggo, VolleyBall, Croquet, etc. It's great for basking in the summer sun out near the lake or relaxing under one of the shade trees.
Inside the cottage is a nice blend of traditional lake cottage as well as some newer amenities such as central air-conditioning, remodeled bathroom w/shower-tub, laminate wood floors, flat-screen TV & DVD player, free High Speed WIFI internet, PlayStation 3 (plays DVD & Blue-Ray) in the 2nd bedroom, Washer & Dryer. While inside, enjoy the sights and sounds of the lake through the large sliding glass door just a few feet from the water’s edge, all the while relaxing on one of the two comfortable couches in the family room.
When it’s time for dinner, cook today’s catch on the Weber charcoal grill. After dinner, get the fire-pit fired up and watch the skiers get one more run in on the glassy water before the beautiful sunset over the lake.
The Yellow Cottage is conveniently located just south of Marble Lake and is one of 7 lakes on the 16 mile Coldwater chain of lakes. The city of Coldwater is a short 10 minute drive away and offers many amenities such as Dining, Shopping, Golf Courses, Go-Cart track, Drive-In Movie Theater, Steam-Engine Train Rides, and much more.

I appreciated the lawn chairs, picnic table, kayaks, sandy beach for kayak put-in and a fire ring. Since the weather was perfect, we spent most of the week outdoors. Nice location for sunset each night.

Excellent property & location. The owners were quick to respond and easy to with with. I works recommend this small cottage to any couple wanting a relaxing week away. Room for 2 couples but no more without being over crowded. One small issue, when the A/C kicks on you have to raise the TV volume a lot to hear over it. Not a deal breaker but would be a lot better if the inside unit was located in the laundry room or garage rather than the bathroom.

Nice little lake house and property. Our kids really enjoyed the beach and swimming around the dock. We also rented the boat with the property, and that was a nice feature to have that allowed us to explore all around the different lakes. We definitely would recommend!

Our stay at the yellow cottage was exactly what we needed for a relaxing fall get away! Doug was gracious and accommodating. Beautiful scenery, grocery and good restaurants closely. Short drive to Marshall for shops and breweries is certainly worthwhile. My only complaint was the well water. Luckily, the owners have provided a water cooler in the kitchen. We hope to visit again!
