BELLAGIO'S SUNSET, appt with terrace and view of the lake in Bellagio

Beautiful, large, apartment located on in the middle and top of everything, yet a peace oasis. Hosts are excellent and property came nicely equipted with esentials, a couple of nice extras, and plenty of consumables. A view you will never forget. If you are coming to Lake Como, come to Bellagio and stay here!

Leading up to the stay, Sybille was extremely efficient with all communications and requests. She helped us arrange transportation with a professional driver who provided an infant car seat, and was very friendly and kind to our baby. Sybille, Alberto, and Wilma were extremely welcoming upon arrival and they and made us feel at home right away with snacks and Prosecco. The location of the apartment is perfect, with the best of Bellagio at your doorstep. Our hosts went above and beyond to prepare us with all the essential baby supplies (a crib, toys, bath, soap, wipes, high chair, etc.). It was so thoughtful and helpful. They provided recommendations for the best restaurants, and sights around the Lake. The property was even grander than the photos, with beautiful high ceilings. The kitchen was the most functional and well stocked that we have ever experienced at a vacation rental. Staples for breakfast and cooking were provided with compliments, including more than enough to last us through the week. We were ‘wowed’ at their thoughtfulness with these touches. Both bathrooms had great water pressure and temperature. The huge, private terrace was incredible, with options of both shade/sun, and comfortable furniture for lounging, dining, and relaxing. We enjoyed coffee there every morning and ate most of our meals al fresco. We are so grateful for the wonderful hospitality of the Serena family and we cannot recommend the property more highly. We hope to return.

We have stayed in villas, houses and apartments throughout the US and Europe, and this Bellagio apartment is among the very best. From communications, to the incredible house, to the fabulous location, to cleanliness, supplies, and unparalleled hospitality and graciousness of the owners, it is simply a magical place that literally made our stay in Lake Como. If you’re looking for the place to stay that you will be so cared for and delighted, stop looking and books with Sybille and her gracious family!!!

I couldn't ask for a better location in Bellagio!! However, be prepared for all the steps. We spent the majority of our time on the veranda admiring the beautiful views! The property managers/owners, Alberto and Sybille are wonderful people -- so gracious, helpful, and hospitable! We received a warm welcome which was very much appreciated. They met us at the ferry to take our luggage to the property and had prosecco and small bites waiting for us. They also provided coffee and stocked the fridge with OJ, milk, and water. What a nice and welcoming touch! In addition, the cabinet was stocked with condiments, spices, etc. The bathroom had extra soaps, shampoo, etc. for our use. We didn't want for anything. I have two suggestions to make this property FANTASTIC: 1. The mattresses are VERY uncomfortable -- not just in one room but all the rooms. We tried padding the mattresses with extra blankets but it didn't help. I like firm mattresses but these were hard and none of us slept well. 2. A television in the living room would have been nice. For those who didn't want to sit out on the veranda after sunset, gathering inside and watching a movie together would have been nice. I suggest you consider adding a SMART TV for guests to log into their streaming apps. Other than those minor criticisms, we have wonderful memories to take home from this property -- the sunset views will always be remembered.

My three sisters and I arrived at Bellagio’s Sunset to the warm welcome of Sybille and her Dad and Mom. This was the beginning of a most wonderful end to our vacation. Bellagio’s Sunset is perfect in every sense of the word. What a nice surprise to be find delicious snacks on the kitchen table, and a bottle of Prosecco. The refrigerator was stocked with everything we needed for breakfast. The location was perfect, right in the center of Bellagio. The pastry/gelato shop on the corner was amazing. The views of Lake Como from the veranda were perfection. The house was spotless and the beds were very comfortable. I would recommend this home to anyone. Sybille and her parents made us feel like family. We will forever be thankful that we stumbled Bellagio’s Sunset. A huge thank you ❤️

First, we want to thank Sybille, her Father and Mother for allowing us to stay in this beautiful apartment. They are the most welcoming, kind family and we won't forget them. We were grateful for the wine, treats, coffee, etc. they had for us. The accommodations are outstanding. So clean and spacious with very large bedrooms. And that view from the terrace was something you won't forget! The huge terrace overlooking the lake and mountains was so spectacular. The location was perfect too. A step from the restaurants and shops but yet so private. And a special thank you to the family for meeting us at the ferry and transferring our luggage too. They also provided us with plenty of information and made our stay perfect. We cannot recommend this place enough and hope to be back again someday soon!!

The host family were extremely kind and gracious. They were a joy to deal with and my family and i had a magnificent visit with comfortable beds and and beautiful home. We cannot wait to go back next year! Great location clise to all restaurants and stores. Highly recommend this experience!

A perfect location above the crowds.

This apartment is in a perfect location with a stunning view. Sitting on the terrace with the Lake Como vista really was a treat.

Every aspect of our stay was perfect. I’ll start by saying that the location is unbelievable. On one side of the huge apartment is the most perfect, large and private balcony overlooking the lake and facing the sunset! It’s covered from the sun/rain and also has an open part if you’re looking to sunbathe. There’s couches and a big table and two lounge chairs. Beautiful flowers. On the other side of the apartment is another balcony overlooking the Main Street and steps that is literally the most photographed spot in bellagio. Great for people watching and your steps away from everything but also private and quiet! Parking was easy and only a few steps to get your bags in! Location was perfect but what made this place even more special were the beautiful host family. Sybille and her father Alberto showed such pride and care. Everything worked perfectly and was spotlessly clean. There were amenities like shampoos and even hairsprays and perfumes in the bathroom. The kitchen had everything we needed- including a delicious welcome bottle of wine and snacks! We had food for breakfast and everything needed to cook! They spent time with us giving us wonderful recommendations and when they found out my daughters loved music, even came back a few hours later to share a brochure for a local music festival. Check out day they remembered it was my daughter’s 6th birthday and were so kind to bring her a gift! We wish we could have stayed longer but we will be back!!

Incredible and everything the reviews say and MORE!!!! So beautiful we asked to extend one additional day and Alberto and family were gracious to do so! The home is comfortable, quiet, clean and in the most PERFECT location. The hosts were available with any of our questions and so kind! There truly is no better rental in all of Como…don’t spend money on a hotel when you can have it all in this home. Close to shopping, restaurants, boat excursions, bakery, wine shops, butcher and grocery…we enjoyed cooking in versus dinners out and the patio provided the most perfect setting to enjoy our meals. When our children someday choose to get married here in Como (this we hope!) we will be staying here again! Many thanks Alberto, Sybille, and Wilma for your gracious hospitality and warm love to our family! We won’t ever forget this trip!

Sybille and the Serena family were wonderful and gracious hosts, and gave us so much information about Bellagio and the lake area. They also let us know about some of the challenges in getting to Bellagio from Como. We naively thought that taxis and ferries would be easy to get any time, but it was tricky later in the day when ferries were sold out, buses were overflowing, and taxis were scarce. Once we did arrive, we were blown away by the property. The views and location are perfect and stunning. It was also one of the cleanest and most well kept we have ever stayed in. All 5 beds were comfortable, the appliances were in perfect condition, they provided a nice gift, and treated us like friends. I cannot recommend this place enough for your stay in Bellagio or the lake area. You will not be disappointed in the slightest.

This property had everything we needed for our first visit to Bellagio. We were right in the middle of all the action, yet felt as though we had our own Hideaway. The hosts welcomed us with a snack, and a bottle of Prosecco, then proceeded to recommend restaurants and activities in the area. I could not have asked for more. The tall ceilings in this flat makes it seem very large, beautiful tile and wooden floors add to the warmth. The terrace overlooks the lake and is a wonderful place to relax in the shade or in the sun.

Our family of 4 spent 5 glorious days at Bellagio Sunset. Sybille was prompt in replying to our questions and concerns. She, her father and mother welcomed us with a bottle of Prosecco and savory tidbits. Their well-appointed, clean and spacious apartment was filled with old world charm. The kitchen had everything we needed and more. The fridge was stocked with some appreciated essentials. There was also coffee, tea and sugar. The three bedrooms were large and comfortable as were the two bathrooms. The apartment is within walking distance of fabulous restaurants, shops and the ferry. As lovely as the inside of the apartment is, the show stopper is its magnificent terrace that provides a magical view of the lake and surroundings. With a bakery next store - we enjoyed breakfast on the terrace each morning and took in the sunsets each evening. There is so much to see and do and each little town has its own charm and appeal. Get a day pass on the ferry and visit the nearby towns, making sure to see Villa Carlotta. Don’t miss the gardens at the Villa Serbelloni in Bellagio which provide a wonderful view of both sides of the lake. A few things to note - access to the apartment requires going up 15-20 steps. Also, to access the free parking space, you must enter a narrow gate, but Alberto was there to guide us in and out. We appreciated Sybille and her parents’ consummate hospitality and hope to return to Bellagio Sunset again soon!

We stayed during a very busy Easter weekend. I felt like royalty turning off the busy road to my secret spot with the perfect view. Very clean. We had the best time. Thank you for your hospitality.

The terrace views of Lake Como and the mountains are worth renting Bellagio’s Sunset a thousand times over! With pink & white flowers trumpeting in the foreground, each and every one of our photos was sensational! Sybille couldn’t have been more helpful answering every question while making arrangements. The apartment housed two couples beautifully, spacious & clean, well equipped and centrally located up the main stone stairs of Bellagio. Every restaurant & wine bar was a stones throw away, and the garden & villa tours we lined up ahead of time were easy to locate. Sybille and Alberto were so nice to work with upon arrival and check-out. Very efficient and informative. We will highly recommend Bellagio’s Sunset to our friends and to those who want an authentic Bellagio experience!

My family absolutely loved staying at Sybille's apartment. We were welcomed by her family upon arrival and they made us feel right at home. They met us at the ferry terminal and brought our bags and my parents up to the apartment. They walked us through the apartment and giving us an overview of Bellagio and the surrounding area. We have a lovely 3 nights at the apartment with amazing views of sunset each night. Will definitely be back whenever we return to lake como!

An outstanding stay in the middle of Bellagio. As described the house is a great base camp for adventures all around Lake Come, but watching the sunset was our favorite activity. I can’t imagine a better place to stay in the lakes area.

We had the most wonderful stay here. I don’t even know where to start. My husband and I appreciated all the little details such as picking/dropping us up/off from the ferry/bus stop, to the little goodies left in the fridge and cupboard and the welcome snack. They even arranged a cooking class at the condo for us which was a highlight for us both. We had such a great evening and had the most delicious meal. Highly recommend doing this if you have the time. The location is prime with being right off one of the main streets. It’s where everyone stops to take a picture at the very top of the stairs. Couldn’t get any better of a location. The apartment is big with 3 bedrooms and although it was just my husband and I we did appreciate all the space. This would be a great place for 2-3 couples or a family. Plenty of space for all. The patio is the highlight of this rental. It’s where we spent most of our time relaxing, taking in this amazing view. It really is special. The hosts made this place feel like home for us. We really felt at peace here. Thanks again for the most amazing stay Alberto and Sybille. We will be back!

It has been said Bellagio is the pearl of Lake Como. Well this place was the pearl of Bellagio!! We have traveled many places but this location, views and very friendly owners, make it our new favorite!!! The whole accommodations were provided above and beyond all expectations! We are already planning to come back next year. Thank you Sybialle (daughter) and Alberto (father).

Would 100% recommend to anyone coming to Lake Como. Amazing hosts. Amazing location. Amazing Place. We have stayed in 9 rentals across Italy, and this is by far our #1 experience. Cannot say enough great things about it.

The apartment was huge, with a lovely veranda. It was in a perfect location and the hosts were very kind and helpful. The furnishings could use an update to the 21st Century, but it was comfortable and pleasant.

The location of this rental is so convenient to everything Bellagio has to offer and the view from the terrace is breathtaking. We watched fireworks over the lake one night and every morning we would sit outside and have our freshly brewed coffee from the espresso maker. Our hosts were so kind and accommodating; the fridge was filled with milk, butter, treats and a bottle of Prosecco. This is a no brained if you are looking for a rental. We would definitely rent again.

I know that by writing this review, this hidden gem may become more popular and may become more difficult to book in the future. Antonio and his daughter Sybille work tirelessly on this apartment though and deserve it to be one of the most requested spots on Lake Como. This trip was my family's first visit to Lake Como and I cannot imagine a better place to stay. Here are some basics: 1) The view: You have an amazing private balcony overlooking the lake. The apartment is at the top of a very famous walkway in Bellagio that many people photograph themselves on. The view is stunning. I had to work one day but spent the entire time on the veranda just enjoying the amazing view. 2) Water pressure: Fantastic. We had six adults staying in the three bedroom house. We never had any problems with water temperature or pressure. You have two bathrooms one with a big tub, the other with a shower. 3) AC: It was very warm in Bellagio during our stay. Despite that, the houses thick walls kept it comfortable during the day and we usually had the AC off. Each bedroom has its own AC unit that we could turn on individually at night to sleep in complete comfort. 4) Kitchen: Fully stocked kitchen including a great pod coffee maker. 5) The patio: We spent hours each day on the patio talking and admiring the view. 6) Parking: There is space for one car to park. If I were coming with six people again I would bring one car and send the others by train to Varenna and then take a short boat ride over. You can park a second car in a public lot. Antonio and Sybille can help direct you. 7) Antonio made many recommendations for restaurants and activities that were fantastic. 8) Reserve and Rent a Boat: We rented a boat and spent 3 hours boating and swimming on the lake. I highly recommend it but you need to book in advance. There are 3 local companies that rent boats in Bellagio that you can reserve through whatsapp messages. 9) Pro tip: there are no full size grocery stores in Bellagio. We should have stopped at Carrefour on the drive up from Milan with food, snacks and drinks for the stay. Although the restaurants are great in Bellagio, the view at the apartment is so good you may just want to prepare sandwiches and enjoy your breakfast and dinner from the veranda. I cannot imagine a better place to stay on Lake Como. It may take us a year or two but we will be back!

I can’t imagine a better place to stay in Bellagio!! The home is beautiful and comfortable! The location is perfect for walking in town and a perfect location for home base for road cycling. The covered porch must be the best in Bellagio! Most importantly, the hosts (Sybille, Alberto, and Wilma) are the “icing on the cake”. They make it all even more special. We look forward to a return and longer stay!!

My family and I were so happy to stay here. All of the great reviews were true - this place had the most amazing patio/outdoor space, amazing view, the best location and very hospitable hosts. We loved our stay and would recommend this apartment. Bellagio is the perfect place and this apartment was the best location and has the perfect patio. We loved being out on it and enjoying the view and places below with our wine each night. We appreciated the Prosecco and useful basics in the refrigerator when we arrived. We could it have had a better place.

We had such an amazing stay at this property. Sybille and her family were warm, charming hosts who went above and beyond before and during our stay. We were welcomed with Prosecco, thoughtful provisions and suggestions of restaurants and activities. The location of the villa was perfect for our family of four. Our favorite part of the property was the large terrace with its breathtaking views of the lake, mountains , and town. Bellagio Sunset is absolutely one of the best places we’ve ever stayed — and we hope we are lucky enough to come back sometime soon!

We have been to Bellagio many times and we are so thrilled to have rented this apartment this time. The apartment is huge and it allowed our family of five to have plenty of space for the two weeks we were there. The balcony off the bathroom and third bedroom was so wonderful and perfect to hear the village wake up and go to sleep at night. Our most favorite thing about the apartment was the veranda. It is huge and has a table, couches, chairs and lounge chairs to truly use this amazing space that looks out over the lake. This is where we spent the majority of our time when we were home. Sybille is one of the most thoughtful and responsive home owners I have ever rented from. She even welcomed us with light snacks, champagne and even a birthday cake (for my 50th). The location was absolutely incredible and we can't wait to come back and rent from her again. This apartment is Bellagio perfection and allows you to feel like a local with so many thoughtful extras. Thank you Sybille for the joy of renting your beautiful space!

I can not say enough good things about this property and our experience. The host was so kind to meet us at the ferry dock upon arrival to help us with our bags. And when we arrived at the house the refrigerator was stocked for us. The house is in the perfect location, you can walk to everything. The balcony is huge and has a great view of the lake. The house is very comfortable and has everything you need. We would definitely book here again!
