This was our 2nd time staying at this property and it was just as amazing as the first! The home is immaculate and spacious with breathtaking views of the ocean and mountains. What we loved most was that this home was fully stocked with everything that we would need for cooking meals and spending time at the beach. The nearby beaches are excellent for snorkeling, where we were able to swim with turtles and the most beautiful fish! We will continue to stay at this same home when we visit in the future. Overall an amazing experience with great memories being made.

This place felt like home. Wonderful kitchen and great view to drink morning coffee looking at the pacific. 45-60 second walk to the beach and easy drive to all the north shore beaches. This location is remote from everywhere except Hanalei…which for us was perfect. 10/10 would stay here again

Not shown in the photos is a spacious wrap-around deck with ocean or mountain views from every angle—complete with a BBQ, large dining table, chairs, and chaise lounges. We stopped at Costco on our way for provisions and prepared several delicious meals in the well-appointed, upscale kitchen. The blender was missing, but the host, Lu, graciously dropped off a new one the same day so we could enjoy our piña coladas!The short walking path from the driveway to the quiet, pristine beach is incredible—and it’s just a 2-mile round-trip walk to the famed Tunnels Beach (shown in the rainbow photo), which is absolutely gorgeous. If you go to Hāʻena State Park (which we highly recommend), the shuttle—by request—stops next door at the Colony Resort. Super convenient! Our kids walked to the Opakapaka restaurant there and said it had a great vibe.I hope to make it back here someday. What a beautiful home and quiet location—truly first-class. Everyone loved it and felt indulged. It was a fantastic vacation for us.

We had a phenomenal stay in the most picturesque location. Great house, comfortable and relaxing and well appointed. Lots of extras like beach towels, chairs and cooler. Only consideration (nothing the fault of the property) would be to consider driving time and location of island activities as you are quite remote. We would all love to come back.

I do have one complaint and I hope you will view this as constructive criticism. This is not a beachfront or oceanfront property as advertised. The image under the location tab indicates the house across the street, which is beachside. It was difficult to find the house after we realized that the house location was not identified correctly on your web site. The house number cannot be seen at night as there are no street lights and the house is recessed and surrounded by shrubbery. The cell service in the area is poor and we could not access google maps. I feel you would be doing potential guests and your company a service if you changed the satellite image on the location tab, clarified what you mean by 30 steps from the beach and did not advertise this as an ocean front property.

It’s modern, breezy, has every appliance you could need in the kitchen, comfy sheets on the incredibly comfy beds, plenty of bath and beach towels, a yoga mat. You can walk around the amazing porch, that looks out at both the gorgeous tropical mountains and the gorgeous beach! You can watch the sunrise every morning by walking down the simple pathway. I mean, it’s just the best rental we have ever been to. We feel blessed to have been back again and would be honored to be able to stay again in the future.

This beautiful home was the gem to our Hawaiian vacation! Located in a quiet neighborhood within steps to the beach. One of the most well appointed homes we've rented through VRBO as far as ammenities and a fully equipped kitchen. We enjoyed cooking for family and friends while enjoying the beautiful view! Excellent communication with the house manager when we needed her. Kauai is our favorite of the Hawaiian Islands and this home is now a favorite too!

Unfortunately for us the HVAC system broke just a few days before we arrived in two of the bedrooms. The master was perfectly fine so we tried to tough it out but it was just too hot for the kiddos, so our amazing Hawai’i Life hosts worked with us to transfer to a different property. Everyone was so kind and helpful- so much aloha! We’d be honored to stay there again. Had it been any other season of the year, the A/C would not have even been an issue for us. I would recommend both the home and the hosts without any hesitation.

They were serviced a month prior to our visit, so maybe they need replacing. Mgmt wasn't very responsive during our stay, and couldn't get someone out to look. They told us the ac is working properly (if so, you're going to have very warm bedrooms!). It was only in the 70s while we were so it wasn't even that hot. We didn't get a satisfactory refund for our trouble.

A beautiful home a stones throw from a lovely quiet beach. The beach is safe for snorkeling, swimming, or just watching the sunrise and set. You could easily walk to the well known tunnels beach and not have to worry about parking. Home came well equiped with beach essentials as well as all the necessary cooking esseantials to make great family meals. My favorite part was awaking every morning and seeing the sunrise from my bed.

From the mountains to the ocean and lush tropical greenery in between, the views are unmatched. We were a group of 6 and had more than enough room in this spacious, clean and well appointed home. It has everything thing you need and more. The short path to a private beach is the icing on the cake! We would definitely stay here again!

We can't say enough about our beautiful Kauai vacation! Our home was perfect and far exceeded our expectations. The photos do not do it justice! The home was so roomy and clean, with the most stunning views! We mostly loved that we were just steps away from the most beautiful beach in Haena! We snorkled almost everyday of our 10 day vacation and were lucky enough to see a few turtles as well as the most beautiful fish! Definitely one of the highlights of our trip! We had many things planned during our vacation, however we found that we all preferred to stay at the house and play on the beach! It will be a trip that we will FOREVER remember! The kitchen provided us with everything we needed to prepare our meals and truly felt like home away from home. The only complaint was the A/C unit in the living room did not work and neither did the dishwasher but it definitely wasnt something that impacted our stay negatively! We can't say enough wonderful things about our stay and cannot wait to get our next vacation planned at the same property!

There is plenty of room to spread out and have privacy. The master suite is at the opposite end of the great room or living space from the other two bedrooms and bath. The house is absolutely gorgeous, the pictures do not do it justice. I couldn’t believe how huge the wrap around deck was and the gas bbq works great! The kitchen has everything you need and then some. Unfortunately there was a problem with the dishwasher during our stay,but we were ok with hand washing. The week we were there the beach out front was a little windy/choppy so not great for swimming or snorkeling, however it’s a relatively short walk to Haena/Tunnels where there is some protection from the wind. There is a restaurant (Opakapaka) right next door at the Colony about a 3 minute walk away. Generous drink pours, so-so food, beautiful views.If you’re looking for privacy and luxury this is the place.Just a few notes:The A/C works greatThere are beach chairs, an umbrella, cooler and fins at the houseIf you take night walks wear bug sprayEverything is clean and sparkling - I almost walked through a sliding glass door :DBe sure to walk out on the beach at night, the stargazing is to die for.

The initial communication was great. We got regular updates and check in instructions by email prior to arriving. However, when we did arrive, we had some trouble getting in or reaching anyone to help us. We eventually got in touch (they were also exploring the beauty of Kaua'i) and got in to the house. After that, it was smooth sailing. The location is amazing and the house is well furnished. Our group had people aged 1 to 80 and everyone was happy and comfortable. The nearby beach was great for hanging out and its proximity to Ha'ena Beach and the State Park as well as the Limahuli Garden make it just about perfect.

The home was modern and gave us so much space to enjoy each other in the great room with cooking, eating, and hanging out on the couch. The outside patio that wrapped around the home gave us plenty of privacy, lots of shady spots, and views of the ocean. The location of the home to the beach was amazing. Within a few minutes, we could have our feet in the sand on a very quiet and clean beach. This was our favorite beach to snorkle at on the North shore as we were able to see so many fish while feeling safe. Swimming with our local turtle was also a bonus. We would definately love to come back and stay in this quiet neighborhood and house again soon. One final note was that our host (Lu) was so fabulous and was so attentive and kind when we had questions about the home. She was such a joy to correspond with and such a great asset to an amazing accommodation in this wonderful pocket of paradise. Thank you for allowing our family to be guests in your home. We had the BEST family trip here. The house is totally dialed in and updated. But most importantly the location is amazing. If you are looking for North Shore paradise - you found it here. Just a minute from a quiet beach that’s calmer than Tunnels. We snorkeled about 5 times a day right out front and had a name for every turtle. Great house, well managed and I plan to come back :)

If anything, this house is better than advertised! Amazing views and a (very) short walk to the beach. Quiet beach, warm (and perfect) breezes, and a great lanai to take it all in! We brought our children and my parents to The Islands for the first time and they were spoiled with this location. We can’t wait to get back and get on island time again! We loved our stay at Haena Kai. We were 4 adults total, 2 couples. The house is thoughtfully designed, with essentially 2 wings and 1 bath in each. The home has great natural light and ocean views and a lovely kitchen with many appliances. I also appreciated the many comfortable touches, including beach towels and yoga mats. I would love to stay there again.

Great floor plan with master on one side (with spectacular ocean view) and teo bed rooms on the other side. Open floor plan with lots of space. Lanai was huge with great views in all directions. Good, functional kitchen with everything we needed. Location is great with a path to beach steps from the property. On the beach in less than 5 min. Would definitely stay here again. If it’s your first time to Kauai and you want to explore the island, there are probably better locations to stay.

Beautiful, comfortable, spotless, well stocked home in a quiet neighborhood with lovely views. The house is elevated- a long staircase up to front door. Important to know if you have any sort of physical challenge. Also, in case planning who sleeps where…. only queen or king beds in bedrooms- none of bedrooms have two beds. Beds are very comfortable. Absolutely loved our stay! Thank you!
