About this cottage rental
Plenty of space to enjoy all Whidbey has offer from this secluded (dead end) street - easy access to Useless Bay with miles of beach, and tides flats to roam, while enjoying views of the Olympics, Double Bluff and Mt. Rainier. You can meander, picnic, crab, or just read a book on the front deck, and look up once in a while to appreciate the heavenly location,. Sunlight Cottage Retreat enjoys views of water and wildlife. In this unique location, when the tide is in, you can see water from every room (except the bathrooms). This is a perfect spot for taking quiet walks, bird watching and stargazing, or running free in nature, all while easily giving others their space too. Close to Langley, restaurants, shopping, many of which now offer delivery or curb side pick up. Or BBQ on the deck where you can comfortably social if you are so inclined. Also a perfect writer’s retreat!

I thoroughly enjoyed this stay. The porch out front was a perfect place to eat, read and enjoy the magnificent day turn in. There was estuary behind and beach across the road. A trail that skirts the estuary is right next door and miles of beach (especially at low tide) to walk on with public access only a few houses down.
The house is simple, sweetly decorated place with lots of windows. It is close to Bayview for urgent grocery needs, and just a few minutes from Langley for restaurants, kayaking, movie going. What a fantastic place to visit. Friendly neighborhood on a dead end road!

Very clean, comfortable place to stay.
Well stocked kitchen is great for cooking.
Great location. Quick drive to stores and restaurants. Easy beach access. Also, right next to a good walking trail.
2 bedrooms with their own baths at opposite sides of the house provide privacy.
Nice table and chairs to eat outside.
Owner is always easy to contact and quick to reply. Very accommodating.
The only reason I give it 4 and not 5 starts is that it's not super fancy. If that is what you are looking for, you will probably have to spend twice as much. This place is a perfect island get away for me.
