About this house rental
Welcome to The Loft, a peaceful upstairs retreat on Whidbey Island, where epic sunrises, tall evergreens, and the charm of nearby vineyards create the perfect backdrop for your stay. This airy 1,000 sq ft space is the upper level of a spacious 1960s home, surrounded by fir trees, a holly farm, and peekaboo glimpses of Holmes Harbor and, on clear days, Mount Rainier, Mount Baker, and the Cascade Mountains.
Conveniently located just 15 minutes from Langley or the Clinton ferry, The Loft is only a mile from wineries, grocery stores, antique shops, and local restaurants—yet it feels tucked away in a quiet golf course neighborhood.
Inside, vaulted ceilings and natural light create an inviting space to relax. At the heart of the living room is a propane fireplace, offering a cozy, romantic alternative to screen time (though a 65" TV is there when you want it). The fully updated kitchen features new appliances and a large island, perfect for cooking meals, enjoying a casual breakfast, or sharing local wine in the evening. A game cabinet, bookcase, and coffee/wine bar add to the simple pleasures that make time indoors special.
Step out onto your private deck to fire up the BBQ, settle into comfortable seating, and soak in Whidbey’s natural beauty. Mornings greet you with unforgettable sunrises through the vines, and evenings invite you to unwind with a glass of cider, craft beer, or a local vintage.
The extra-large bedroom is designed for comfort and flexibility. A king bed and a twin trundle (with pull-out twin) make the space ideal for couples, solo travelers (pups welcome!*) or small families. Velvet curtains filter the morning light for restful sleep, while soft white linen curtains offer privacy between the bed and shower area. A modern walk-in shower, washer/dryer, and sliding doors to the back deck complete the suite, blending convenience with relaxation.
For those who need to work—or simply want an inspiring view to journal or read—a high desk and chair overlook the vineyard, where deer often wander by.
Guests have their own private entrance via a path along the side of the house, with dedicated parking for one vehicle. A gated interior staircase with locked doors on both sides ensures complete privacy from the lower level.
