Beautiful Pasadena Neighborhood- Detached Guest House with Garden

We were pleasantly surprised by the well equipped and clean guest house.Communication with the owner was always easy and quick, and we had a really wonderful stay in the Madison Heights neighborhood!We would definitely recommend the place to anyone traveling to Pasadena!

Great location in a quiet, safe neighborhood and close to CalTech and shops. Every single amenity you could wish for is in this little dwelling. So much thought has gone into making it comfortable, practical and pleasant. The patio under the orange tree was such a lovely place to sit, eat, read, etc. I will definitely stay again on my next trip to Pasadena.

We booked last minute and stayed one week. We highly recommend their backyard apartment. Esme was responsive with communication. Queen bed was comfortable. We appreciated the extra heavy cotton blankets with the optional down (?) comforter. Kitchen was very well-stocked. They were very generous in supplying eggs and butter in the fridge, as well as pantry items for a quick dinner meal, coffee and filters, and snacks & wine on the counter - so very nice. They also had all the paper goods we needed - paper towels, toilet paper, as well as plastic wrap, foil, baggies in the kitchen. Neighborhood is gorgeous and very safe. We enjoyed our frequent neighborhood walks, admiring the unique architecture of the homes. Grocery stores are close. Next to the backyard apartment, they have a relaxing garden area with chairs under a lemon tree - all for the renters. Rosy, their dog, was super cute. I think she realized when we arrived some days and joined us in the backyard for a head scratch. She's a very good dog.

Esmé's place was a perfect home-away-from-home. It's private, charming, and has everything you need, including lots of thoughtful touches. It's walking distance from the S. Lake area, with lots of shops and restaurants, but tucked away in a beautiful part of Pasadena, with gorgeous 1920s architecture. Rosie the dog was a gentle sweetheart. We will definitely be back!
