Good Choice for Pasadena

Very fine structure with an affluent vibe. “Club” amenities nice, and staff were friendly.

Room was slightly small and bathroom too basic for 5-star. Felt cheated at the in-house fine-dining restaurant, The Royce. (See separate review of that in Google Maps.)

Would not stay again, huge waste of money.

Staff was very nice.

The value was terrible. Way overpriced. The pool was absolutely overrun - this hotel partners with Resort Pass, and of the dozens of families at the pool, all behaving incredibly rudely, none were guests at the hotel.

We had a lovely time

Every employee was extremely nice and helpful, we enjoyed the golf, enjoying the property and the club floor. The room itself was nice and the beds were comfortable.

I had sent a request prior to our stay, I wanted to book a club access room, but wasn’t certain if it could accommodate my guest who was vegan and gluten-free. I did receive a very nice reply stating that there would be options for my guest in the club. Unfortunately, during many of the services there were not any substantial options other than a snack. I was a little disappointed in that because I did ask in good faith prior to our visit and the room service menu did have a good variety of options, but they were not available in the club. For myself, an omnivore, the options were lovely

Marvelous place to stay, great staff, but get the luxurious room with the beautiful carpet and wood furnishings!

Every thing except the room! Jacuzzi was wonderful! The pools were magnificent! The food was delicious!

The room sucked! They claimed it was an upgrade but it was a downgrade! The A C was right next to bed and it was loud so it was hot all night because it had to be off! I wanted a luxurious room and got something else.

Great vintage hotel

Room was a cottage room. This room had a great bed and was typical of the time it was representing. I liked the espresso coffee machine. Staff was 10+. Great greeting and car service, help with luggage to room, providing additional pillows and a blanket. Check in was fast and well organized.

Tear in Carpet. Crack near drain. The terrace restaurant was not open on weekends. I am not a fan of the Royce restaurant at the hotel.

Luxurious hotel property

Great pool, gym, shared indoor and outdoor areas. This was the perfect venue for a short, friends gathering in Pasadena. The Langham is also very close to downtown Pasadena.

The rooms are large and a little outdated. The fridge didn't work and the second fridge I requested was similarly low functioning (I needed to keep medications refrigerated). The property is large and sprawling and it is easy to get lost / takes forever to leave. If you do not indicate that you are a guest at the hotel, the valet parking may take an exceedingly long time. The valet only parking is a hassle.

We were there for a wedding and it was over-the-top awesome.

We loved our housekeeper Lorena! She kept us well-stocked with water and coffee! The bathrobes and the bedding were great! I loved the spa and the grounds. We didn't get in the pool but we did see people swimming so the water must have been nice.

The pool bar/cocktail service was not good. Had to go to the bar from the pool to order a drink and several times there was no one behind the bar. Wished there had been a server come by and ask if we wanted food or drinks as we would have ordered and spent more money!

An excellent, elegant hidden gem in the heart of Pasadena.

Beautiful grounds, elegant rooms, and we felt like we were miles away from the hustle and bustle of the big city, yet less than 10 minutes from Old Town Pasadena. Staff was excellent, attentive, friendly, and provided superior service.

Several venues were closed for private events during our 10-night stay which was disappointing that they weren’t held in meeting rooms or the ballrooms instead of closing down a restaurant or the Tap Room that should be open to the public.

The hotel is so big that I would get lost going to the lobby. Depending on whether I turned left or right to go to the elevator from the 6th floor I would come down to a different place. It took a while to get it straight. Also, was not happy with the $42 fee for parking.

set a high bar a nice hotel

This is one of the greatest hotel I ever stayed. The staff is very friendly, thanks Gary, he is so nice and helpful. Hotel includes everything you can expect in a trip. Terrace breakfast is impressive, dinner is so good. The bed is comfortable, shower is nice, outside swimming pool is awesome, and the SPA is free and so nice, and the hotel location is good in Pasadena. Thank you

They should enforce a minimal dress code. If I’m paying that much for a place and I’m celebrating a special occasion in The Tap Room, I don’t want to sit next to a sweaty man in a tank top and baseball hat who is also being loud.

It's a beautiful property, but in my opinion it is overpriced and I'm not sure I would return.

Lovely property. Pool cocktails and afternoon tea were excellent. Very comfortable bed. Nice bathroom (stained marble notwithstanding) with well-designed shelf large enough to hold lots of items. Good bedside lighting.

1) Check-in was slow and inefficient and my room was very far away from the main building, which resulted in a $20 parking charge to my daughter, who lives in Pasadena and had driven me from the airport, because I couldn't complete check-in within the allotted and inadequate 15 minutes. I don't expect this kind of tacky nickel-and-diming from an upscale and very expensive hotel. 2) My room was described as having a garden view. This turned out to be a view of the street with a strip of lawn, so hardly as anticipated. 3) The staff were generally lovely, with the exception of the valet desk. 4) Room very ordinary; no amenities such as a coffee maker or working refrigerator.
