Melissa was a fabulous host. She checked in with us, made herself available for any questions or recommendations during our stay and respected our privacy. The casita was a beautiful, private oasis!! The property was exactly as described and matched the pictures. The linens were soft, the bed comfortable, kitchen stocked and the casita was nicely decorated. The location is close to hiking trails, restaurants and was very safe. I can’t compliment the outdoor area enough….pool, hot tub, fire pit, BBQ and multiple very comfortable seating options including chaise lounge chairs. We will definitely be planning a return trip!! WOW! Our stay was nothing short of magical. The other reviews were what initially drew us in and let me tell you, there were no exaggerations! The casita was so private, clean, and relaxing. Floating in the pool on a warm afternoon was bliss, especially combined with the fact that all I could hear around us was the sounds of nature, no matter what time of day it was. The neighbors were friendly and the casita was a short walk from a beautiful mountainside with lots to explore. You are a quick drive (5-10 min tops) from many grocery stores and delicious restaurants, yet feel like you are way out of town in the best way. Melissa was the ultimate host, giving us privacy but also checking in on us to ensure we had what we needed and there to answer questions if we had any. That was very appreciated. The attention to detail in the casita shows she takes pride in her home. There were zero concerns with cleanliness and it was well stocked with all essentials. The backyard was spectacular and she leaves it all for the use of guests! Thank you, Melissa, for making our trip memorable and just what we needed. We recommend this property a million times over!

Villa De Paz is a little slice of heaven! Close to the main house, but we felt our privacy was respected the entire trip. We enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub, even though it was not working at the time, it was a cool mini pool while gazing at the stars. We enjoyed the pool, and got a tan in what seemed like our own mini resort. The natural views were spectacular, to say the least! Bring a yoga mat to do a breathtaking sunrise flow, or an eye mask for the mornings when you want to sleep in. A close drive to Scottsdale, where we enjoyed too much delicious food. This is a beautiful place to stay for a romantic getaway or a quiet solitary retreat.

Previous reviews were accurate…this property is a gem! Location is very good and the property is so private, located on a very lovely street which provides a great place for a walk. Melissa was wonderful, very helpful when we needed assistance with the TV service. The house is spotless and beautifully decorated. We loved the hot tub, it was too cool to use the pool. When we booked this stay originally we were just expecting my husband and I. My 8 month old daughter changed our plans because she would not take a bottle. Melissa was so kind and understanding and let us bring her along too so we could still enjoy our anniversary. The casita is amazing, you could tell a lot of time and love went into it. We came back home so rejuvenated. I hope we are able to return someday soon.

My husband and I spent a week here in late May. Yes, it was hot (90-105!), but with the pool, a lovely breeze and an awesome view of the Phoenix Mountain Reserve, we hardly noticed it. The casita is quite large, comfortable and well appointed with all the kitchen things you might need. The entire outdoors is your private resort including the large pool, fire out w chairs and hot tub. There is also a lit basketball/hockey court off to the side should you be interested. Melissa, the owner, is totally available to answer questions, etc. We cannot imagine a better place for a couple (including a younger child or two) to enjoy the area. We shall return!!

The property is beautiful and we really enjoyed laying out by the pool. We also enjoyed our walks around the neighborhood. We had a wonderful stay here. The Casita is super spacious, well equipped and very comfortable. The outdoor space is as nice as you can imagine--beautifully laid out, and we loved the landscaping while lounging poolside. Pool was brisk but swimmable in early April. Melissa is a welcoming host, too. Very attentive and flexible both before and during our stay.

Everything about this stay was perfect! The casita is a perfect size for the two of us and the outdoor pool/spa/conversation area/lounging spots ensured a restful and relaxing vacation. The location is ideal: miles and miles of hiking trails within walking distance at the Phoenix Mountain Reserve. Nearby restaurants and groceries made living easy and convenient. Melissa (and Zoe) are excellent hosts: friendly while ensuring privacy, providing impeccable service. Melissa is a person of integrity and character; we enjoyed meeting and visiting with her and Zoe. There is lots to do at the Casita and around it, but the best part is sunbathing by the pool and spa. Scottsdale is only about 20 minutes away. Melissa is wonderful! She is so welcoming and always a phone call/text message away if you need anything. We definitely will be coming back in the summer time!

This property is in such a wonderful neighborhood. The grounds of this property are stunning! Beautiful landscaping! The pool is beautiful, not heated however so we didn’t get to use it in November, but we did enjoy the fire pit and hot tub very much. Easy to use both. Communication is spot on and checking in is easy! Melissa is wonderful! The house itself is just a perfect little spot for a couple! Great kitchen, bathroom, and living spaces. Everything you need. Super CLEAN!!!! This place is so quiet and peaceful. It’s very private, yet it was the perfect location for everything we wanted to do. Right next to great hiking at Phoenix Mountain Preserve (bring your hiking shoes!), great shopping, and lots of golf all close by. Highly recommend!

This place is magnificent. From the views to the convenience this place is literally everything you need. I felt like Owen Wilson with how much I was saying the word wow. The description and pictures don't do it justice. My wife and I needed a vacation and time to relax and what we got was that and so much more. This property is beyond beautiful! Very secluded you can see and hear nature but yet within 2 miles of restaurants, shopping and grocery stores! Great areas for walking. I enjoyed the pool, sundeck and firepit. The pool furniture is top notch and the casita has everything needed. I Love this place and will stay again!
