About this house rental
Princeville's Sh'Zen is a luxurious three bedroom, three bath home on a very private third of an acre of lush tropical gardens and pool. . Spectacular endless ocean views over the seventh tee and sixth green of the world famous and newly remodeled Makai Golf Course and steps away from the trail to Queen's Bath. Sh'Zen is a symphony of nature and you will have a box seat for it all; ocean sunsets, sunrise on the mountains,waterfalls,rainbows, whales and albatross in the winter and streaming giant waves thundering into Punahele Bay. Most of the year you can expect gentle trades, night-time showers and sun-filled days.
Amenities include a 40 foot lap pool, jacuzzi, fully equipped kitchen with granite counter tops and silky Doug fir floors. The home has three levels. The master suite faces Mount Makena(King Kong Mtn.) and the entoire Bali Hai Mountain range. and has a gigantic covered deck. The garden room suite looks over the pool and garden and has a covered lanai. The lower deck is the Captain's Cabin with a double futon on stand and full bathroom. The Cabin is air conditioned and has a lovely ocean, valley view as well as a large screen TV, home theater and DVD. There is a cable modem and wireless router for WiFi throughout.
Special attention has been given to night lighting for an ultra-tropical mood.
Balinese paintings and stone carvings, fountains and statuary comlete the scene. A wall surrounds street sides musting ambient sounds except for the birds and hush of the Palms. The Garden includes an Anthurium walkway from the gate to the front door and passes by the Bali Pond, the Angel Fountain and the Pool.
Steps away is the trail to Queen's Bath, and a short walk to the five star Princeville Hotel and two miles to the Princeville Shopping Center which has a large supermarket. All the sights of the fabulous North Shore of Kauai are minutes away including Anini, dreamy Hanalei, Lumahai, Tunnels and Ke'e Beaches.

The house and grounds were beautiful as was the view and location. The pool was too cold to swim in, although we did try, but we were eaten alive by mosquitoes.

This our second stay at Sh'Zen and most definitely will not be our last.
My husband and I stayed in the home in 2014 when we we're married on the Garden Island and just returned from our 5 year Anniversary trip.
Feeling spoiled and it was difficult getting back on the plane to return home after 17 magical days there!
Waking up to a variety of birds singing in the morning, sipping coffee overlooking Puahele Bay and the Bali Hai Mountain range is breathtaking. Each and very sunrise and sunset was so unique.
We absolutely love the privacy this home offers.
The pool, garden area, fountain, statues and pond make for the most peaceful time when at home.
Convenient hiking right out your front door, just a stones throw down to the Queen's Bath.
The house has everything you need and the kitchen is very well appointed, with HIGH quality cookware. Absolutely everything we needed and more.
PV Eats specialty market is new, unique and wine selection and cuisine is off the chart. Gaylord's is a top recommendation too and the Mai Tai's are the best :)
Highly recommend the helicopter ride.... it was our 1st and it was amazing! As was the Catamaran trip.

The house was beautiful and in a great location. Arrangements were easy to make and the home owner was pleasent and informative to visit with.
The amenities in the home were just a added bonus to the wonder of Kauai.
Would recommend this place for anyone wishing unique experience.

Beautiful home except it is falling apart. Huge crack in upper master deck that shows on ceiling of bottom floor, which ceiling is falling down. Dirty fridge & floors… windows dirty. Lots of empty cleaning containers left in every cupboard of house. Tile deck out front is disgusting from water dripping from above. Torn & ripped awning. Location is amazing as is the view, but the home isn’t being maintained in my opinion. The washer broke & we were charged 200$ ??? Bird poop on above ceiling, fan in master has black mold on it. I have stayed in this home 4 times, it’s sad to see it falling apart.
