We had an amazing stay on Balboa! Sherry was an excellent host- super quick with responses! She checked in a couple times leading up to the trip and confirming our reservation. She was able to get us an early check in upon arrival. Such a great host! The house was lovely. The location couldn’t be better- close the best spot for swimming for kids on the island, close to the ferry, and marine street. The rooms were all clean, laundry was convenient, and the kitchen was updated. The downstairs bathroom doesn’t have a shower in it, which was the only negative. The bathroom upstairs was new and the shower was great. Just a little tricky sharing with 4 other people. We will definitely be back! And would rent again!

The cottage was beautifully decorated, well appointed and in an ideal location. The check in process was so clear and easy. We loved our stay there and will definitely return!

We loved our time on Balboa Island. This cottage is quintessential experience. Easy walk to coffee and shops and the beach is right outside your door. Thanks for great stay! Note there is not a grill so bring small portable if desired.

We came here with our family and I would not recommend it for anyone with small children. The host did call our attention to the fact the master bedroom is downstairs and the secondary bedrooms are upstairs, which was the least of our issues. There were fragile decorations (too many to move to a safe height) throughout the property that made us feel unsafe to have a toddler around that could potentially damage them. Also, the kitchen does have pots & pans but did not have any basic kitchen cooking ingredients like oil, salt & pepper etc. so expect to purchase anything needed to make a meal. We decided to move out after 1 night because it was not possible to keep our daughter and the host's home safe.
There was major work being done on the street in front of the house with loud, heavy machinery so I would inquire about the status of the street work before booking if you expect to spend time at the property during the daytime.
