What a wonderful stay we had. Val and Paul are so welcoming and friendly. The suite is nicely laid out, and has everything you need, including a sauna! And the bed....my God we slept for hours.Can't recommend enough and hopefully one day we'll be back.Thank you Val & Paul

A beautiful property with such lovely hosts. Val and Paul were welcoming and friendly from the moment we arrived. The stay far exceeded my expectations. It was ideally located for my needs and the fenced yard was perfect for my dog. Fozzie made himself at home and didn't take long to learn where to get the best scritches. My only regret was that I couldn't stay longer.

This place feels like home. Our hosts, Val and Paul were there to greet us and walked us through the property. Everything is very neat and clean, bed and linens are great and kitchen has all the necessities. We really appreciated the breakfast food that was provided. There are walking trails and beaches close by. The property has gardens and fruit trees and relaxing sitting areas. Paul and Val are amazing hosts and it was lovely to share our stories. Loved this place.

Wonderful, open hosts. Property abounds with space for dogs to play; fruits trees & large lawn to play on! Grateful for the connection with hosts & the kitchen amenities provided for us to help us enjoy our stay! Ocean, Sea & windy back roads to explore! Great pubs a quick drive away! Beautiful suite in beautiful surroundings! The hosts are warm and thoughtful and really went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. The suite was thoughtfully equipped with extra things to make one's stay comfortable. It was like a home away from home.

We came in as strangers and left as friends. Java and Toffee enjoyed the large fenced in property, although Toffee wanted out when we left her the first time. Thanks to Paul and Val, for providing everything we needed for an excellent stay. Donald & Claudette

Vancouver Islands best kept secret with the perfect hosts to match, property is absolutely beautiful, the unit is very generous, a perfect getaway, sleeping quarters black right out and you can be comfortable if you like to sleep warm or cold, Val and Paul were so welcoming and were quick to start the relaxing vacation, and answer any question thrown their way! I can’t say enough great incredible things about the stay, 11/10

Our 38-day stay at The Two Dogs Inn was amazing. Val and Paul provided unparalleled hospitality, making us feel incredibly welcomed and at home. This was our best VRBO experience yet. We brought along our 12+ year-old Yellow Lab, Roxy. Val and Paul were fantastic with her, and Roxy was always thrilled to spend time with them. We were pleasantly surprised to find supplies (eggs, milk, breakfast cereals, treats for Roxy, and more) waiting for us – a thoughtful touch we hadn’t encountered at other VRBO properties. The accommodation had everything we needed. It was impeccably clean, the bed was comfortable, and the warm shower had excellent water pressure. The Wi-Fi was reliable, and the kitchen well-equipped. The fenced grounds were stunning and a great place to relax. At one point, we mentioned that the TV was on the small side for reading show descriptions. The very next day, Val and Paul replaced it with a brand new 55” HD model. Their attentiveness and responsiveness were truly outstanding. The location, on the other side of the bay from Highway 1, is rural and peaceful. We spent many hours on the deck, reading, sipping wine, and trying to capture the perfect photo of the many hummingbirds. Val and Paul’s local insights allowed us to explore the area to the fullest. We particularly enjoyed visiting nearby beaches, perfect for leisurely walks with Roxy. We look forward to our next visit to the island – The Two Dogs Inn is undoubtedly our first choice for accommodation.

We loved staying at the Two Dogs Inn! Very clean, cozy suite with all our necessities provided, hosts went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable! Beautiful + peaceful area, lots to do close by in Ladysmith (stores, coffee, etc.). Hosts were very welcoming and helpful with any extra things we needed, and any questions we had about travelling! We enjoyed our stay, and hope to return!

This is such a great place! The property is beautiful, and Val and Paul are very friendly and really go above and beyond to make your stay great. I would highly recommend it to anyone staying in the area.

The property was as advertised. The hosts were warm, friendly and accommodating. There were wonderful touches throughout the suite such as bowls of chocolate, a welcoming vase of flowers and a fridge stocked with bread, butter, eggs, yogurt etc. I especially enjoyed the lovely garden, complete with a grape arbour seating area. Captain, the lovely dog, and the super friendly cat were the icing on the cake.

Valerie and Paul are wonderful hosts and now friends I will visit every time I am on the island. Their property is wonderful, the apartment is everything you could ask for, and it was stocked with some food and water and other necessities that you don’t ever see in a rental. Most of all, I enjoyed sharing time and stories with Paul and Valerie while Captain guarded us and the property. I had a wonderful stay and look forward to staying there again and visiting with the best hosts ever.

Val and Paul are wonderful hosts and have their suite set up very nicely. They are very gracious and friendly and have numerous amenities including fresh farm eggs for breakfast! The barbecue came in handy as well!

Val saw to the details that make a stay a memory. Her energy and graciousness reflected the beauty of the property.

This Vacation let us for 3 weeks nearly forget our home, The fantastic hosts Valery and Paul are so good-hearted and friendly so that we hope to see them again. The accomodation was as well as described. We found all things we needed to feel well and home-like. The several things in the kitchen and the fridge where so valuable to bridge a gap. Located is the property that you can reach all interessting thing at Vancouver Island very easely. A very importend mentioning are the two housemates "Captain" and "Lucky" (Dog and Cat). Both are so very kind and complementary to the landlords that we never forget these faithful animals. We hope to see these four lovely guys again. What a wonderful, slightly off-the-beaten-track location on Vancouver Island! The hosts (and their two dogs) are some of the most welcoming and hospitable people. A well-stocked kitchen, a wonderful in-unit sauna, a warm and comfy bed, and all of it close to the charming towns of Ladysmith and Chemainus - what more could you ask for? We will surely look to stay here again next time we're in the area - thank you!

The property was lovely, quiet and just what we needed for a short stay in Ladysmith visiting family. Very well equipped, complete with breakfast fixings. Hosts were gracious and welcoming. Would definitely recommend.

Our stay with Val and Paul was very enjoyable. We stayed one week and lacked for nothing. Fully equiped kitchen and a very comfortable bed. It is in a beautiful rural setting close to Ladysmith and many great trails. Highly recommended.

Wonderful place to stay and relax. Large suite and lovely patio to enjoy a glass of wine. Amazing hosts - loved hearing their stories. And if you need a book (or two!) to read they’ve got you covered. Thanks Val and Paul.

Val and Paul were great hosts. Very knowledgeable. The suite was clean and very well stocked with a variety of breakfast choices including eggs, yogurt, English muffins and cereals. A pleasant surprise. Would recommend this place to everyone. Looking forward to coming back in the summer to enjoy the pool and a glass of wine with our hosts.

We had a wonderful week at Two Dogs Inn. Our hosts, Val and Paul, couldn’t have done anything more to make us feel comfortable, welcome and appreciated. Their beautiful dogs, Captain and Ruby, were happy to greet us every day (I’m sure it had nothing to do with the cookies they love so much)! The suite is large, comfortable and spotlessly clean. It was also stocked with many food and drink surprises! Two Dogs is in a peaceful rural setting yet just a short drive from Ladysmith and many beautiful and varied hiking trails. We’re so glad we discovered Two Dogs Inn!

Val and Paul did everything possible to make our stay a wonderful experience. The fridge was stocked with supplies and treats when we arrived. There was a beautiful yard look at as you sit under an arbour of grape vines with fresh grapes to nibble on. (Not available throughout the year🙂) Val even sent us off with a fresh loaf of sourdough bread! 😋

This was a perfect space! We are traveling for our daughters wedding, and it gave us a bit of time away, to also give her some space. We totally loved the thought and details put into this space. It was excellent! Nothing missed. We had some downtime, and rest from road tripping and from business. Our three nights went too soon, and I wasn't ready to leave. The outside seating in the evenings was a perfect way for us to end our days and the doggie visits were fun. The space is quiet, private and spacious. There was everything we needed, and it was the absolute perfect respite for us, from our busy lives! Can't say enough!
