Excellent hospitality, great clean and cozy room, amazing value.

The owners' hospitality was exceptional. They reserved a parking spot in front of the hotel for us, and when we left, they sent us out with a coffee to go. The room was clean, well-designed, and equipped with all the amenities needed. Our room (and I believe most of the rooms do too) had a balcony facing the beautiful landscape of Meteora, and having a morning coffee there was a memorable experience. We would certainly return to the Oikia guesthouse if we were in Kalabaka again.

Great location! Super clean place. The owners who attended to us during our stay provided an amazing service! We arrived with a flat tire on a Sunday. They got the local tire repairman to come on site within minutes. Super friendly, helpful and kind. Gave us great recommendations and they always ensure we were happy.

Beautiful spot below the monasteries

Excellent place to stay to go and see the monasteries. The manager was very helpful at the front desk. The room was clean big with a very cute balcony. The location is close to restaurants and really good bakeries and right beside a really good coffee shop. The hotel is so close to bakeries we opted out of having the breakfast at the hotel but heard it was good. They have a beautiful patio that clients of the hotel can use that has breathtaking views of the monasteries around you. We brought our lunch back to the hotel and ate it on the patio it was beautiful.

Best property for your stay in Kalambaka!

The family that owns the property are fantastic! You cannot beat the location. The large balcony is perfect for a glass of wine and taking in the beautiful surroundings. We originally only booked one night but stayed another night. Rooms are spacious, clean, and have the most comfortable beds and pillows!

The loveliest guesthouse in Kalambaka

The guesthouse is most attractive, new and beautifully decorated. The rooms are spacious, very well furnished and provided with everything travellers might need. A huge terrace with comfortable seating on the first floor (delightful in the evening as well as daytime) gives dramatic and spectacular views of the mountains looming just above. The kind owners themselves look after the guests and cannot do enough to be helpful and offer advice on how and when to visit the monasteries, and also where are the best restaurants and tavernas. One can walk everywhere from the Oikia without needing a car. Kalambaka and Kastraki have an enormous number of hotels and guesthouses to choose from, but I cannot imagine that any of them offers as enjoyable and welcoming a stay as the Oikia guesthouse. We were very sorry to leave and seriously look forward to another visit.

Simply The Best

What a wonderful place to spend our time visiting Meteora. The welcome by Anna-Maria on our arrival, after an eventful and long drive from Athens was incredible. She made us feel so relaxed and at home. She has certainly made her hotel so special, with lots of lovely touches throughout. The rooms are very well appointed and so clean and comfortable. This was Greek hospitality at its finest. If you are planning a trip to Meteora, I highly recommend you book your stay here. You will NOT be disappointed

The location, view, earthy decor, friendly staff and super comfortable beds. Oikia was the best hotel we have stayed in during our four week vacation in Greece. Early morning hike to Varlaam monastery was amazing!!! Thank you for the travel tips and complimentary cappuccinos:)

Wish we booked one more night as three nights in Kalabaka would have been ideal. The shops and restaurants in the city center are great and there's just so much to take in... beautiful trip:)
