White Lodge

The property is located in a quiet residential area , off the busy main road . Eranga , is an excellent host , true Sri Lanken hospitality . ask him for information of places to see around the Kandy area . nothing is too much trouble for him . I had a most enjoyable stay at the White Lodge , everything considered , well done Eranga , keep up the standards & your lovely hospitality .

White Lodge is a fantastic guesthouse with clean rooms + comfortable beds, a lovely porch and veranda area with lots of plants (and shade!), and an incredibly kind and helpful host. I was sent a list of recommended sights around Kandy on booking this guesthouse, and our host was more than happy to recommend restaurants, trips, and offer advice on arranging transport. He also arranged a delicious breakfast each morning, we had a choice between Sri Lankan and continental breakfast. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the White Lodge and would recommend this to anyone looking to explore Kandy!

The host (Rathnasiri) is just a beautiful soul. He wanted us to have a great stay and his customer service is excellent. He provided a welcome cold beverage for us and shared information about Kandy. The room was very clean and modern with excellent air conditioning and fantastic hot water. The WiFi was excellent. The morning breakfast is delicious and comes with fresh fruit and a fresh drink plus coffee/tea. All the staff were great and you can walk downhill from the place to Kandy Lake within 10-15 minutes. I would recommend staying here 100%.

We were on the 3rd floor and there's a large sitting area but no AC there so it gets pretty warm but that's really minor.

This was a wonderful homestay - we were really sorry not to be staying longer. The family were really friendly and helpful and the shared tea/coffee making area was a real bonus. We had a lovely balcony with a wonderful view of the hillside. An easy walk to the centre of Kandy. The breakfast was delicious. We just didnt stay long enough!
