Modern updates but kept a lot of the history. Having an elevator was a big plus.

Old plumbing, shower drain didn’t work well

Perfect location to easily walk down to the heart of Lisbon. Spar market across the street to pick up groceries for our breakfasts was super convenient. Spacious accomodation with beautiful decor. Opening the windows every morning to the bright sunlight and the sound of the city was a great start every morning.

Second bathroom needs to have a revamp on design as water sprays out onto floor and onto the wall despite best efforts to contain it.

The apartment was located on 2nd floor of old building, accessible by lift. The Host contacted me ahead of time via whatsapp and provided access code for early check in at 3 PM. Spacious apartment for 4 people with modern kitchen/bathroom. Host had left water, wine and cookies on the tray which was a nice gesture. Overall convenient location near Marquee Pombal square about about 15 min walk to Ave Liberdade, with coffee shops and restaurants near by. We stayed 1 night stay.

The apartment was not what I saw on the pictures on Booking.com website. Apartment did not small fresh when we entered. There was dust on the windows and given that I am allergic, I was sneezing a lot. The kitchen had a used dish sponge. The biggest turn off was the bed sheets that were old and worn out; not to standard of Airbnb. Bathroom towels were very rough from being air dried. We saw a bunch of towels that were hanging on a towel rack on a tiny outside balcony in the central alley of apartment building.
