About this villa rental
Fantastic place on the island of Utila. All new construction. Beautiful Honduran wood throughout. New appliances and stocked kitchen. Snorkel right off the shore and walk to town. The eco friendly development has raised walkways and towers amongst the beautiful mangroves. You will refresh your mind and senses staying here.
Our place is close to arts and culture, near beach, restaurants and dining, and great views. 24 hour Security, comfy bed, New kitchen, Snorkel Reef,. Great for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, families (with kids), and big groups.Scuba Paradise #WhaleSharks

Access to the newest accomodations on Utila. Beach Front access in a private relaxing atmosphere. Unique island characteristics not found on ordinary 'commercialized' destinations. This Utila villa is one of the best and least expensive diving on this island.
You can rent a golf cart or walk 10 min into town.
Preserving the Utila Iguana and its critical mangrove habitat is not our only goal. We are also working towards: Sustainable development of Utila (a popular destination for divers) to protect the island’s natural resources. Enhancing awareness among the people living and working in Utila, including working with schools and educating children and young people on the island about their environment. We aim to buy all our materials from local businesses and hire local labor as far as possible in order to support the Utila economy. Our volunteers are also encouraged to make their purchases in local shops. We will always strive to conserve and respect the land we are on to the fullest.

When you plan a vacation to another country there's always a level of concern about what you're going to get when you arrive. This whole experience was peace of mind from the beginning. The owner was very responsive in answering questions I had and the caretaker Frank was immediate in assisting us.
The location is excellent. Far enough out of town to not hear traffic, but close enough to walk to restaurants and stores. Being able to open the windows and see the harbor and the boats passing by was incredible. Windows had screens and the layout was perfect to catch the breezes all day, but there is A/C to use when needed. We were able to walk just a few minutes down the road and enjoy some of the best snorkeling on the planet. But when we didn't feel like walking, all we had to do was go down to the security guard and ask him to call us a taxi. It was great! Really liked having a 24 hour security guard. Crime isn't a huge deal on the island. But, having the guard there made us feel a lot better about leaving our belongings there. Also, is a nice safety feature for when you come in at night to not only have the security guard but also very well lit walkways.
You can't rent a car on the island and you can't drink the tap water. So, I was concerned how we were going to get the 5 gallon jugs home so we'd stay sufficiently hydrated. But, it was well arranged for us. Fresh water with an ingenious pump system attached to the jug. When we ran out our trusty security guard brought more to us and took away the old jug for return to the store! (Yes, I left a little spoiled.)
Well laid out kitchen made meal time very easy with a great view from there as well. Even the second bedroom had a beautiful view of a lagoon and Mangroves.
I loved Utila and I loved having a comfortable place with the amenities of Oyster Bed Lagoon. It was just the relaxing place we needed. Looking forward to returning!
