About this house rental
One of the largest and newest homes on Utila. Located right on the beach on the premier lot directly across from the coral island at Rocky Point. Unlike many oceanfront homes in Utila, this house is situated on a sandy beach Expansive views across the Caribbean with mountains on the coast to the south and Roatan to the east. Has 5 decks including a large deck with infinity pool perched over the beach, and a roof-top "margarita deck" with 360 degree views of the island. . Also, unlike many homes in Utila which only have boat access, this house is accessible by road from town; a 5 minute scooter or tuk tuk ride, 10 minute bike, 15-20 min walk. The town has many excellent inexpensive restaurants and a very active nightlife in the many bars. Located in the exclusive Tradewinds area, the part of the island known for its breezes that keeps the heat and mosquitoes at bay. Excellent snorkeling and diving right off the beach in front of the house. This house has more and larger windows than most houses on the island, affording panoramic views in all directions, including the sounds of the surf and views of the sea from most rooms. The great room has 25 foot high ceilings and an open-concept kitchen with all modern appliances. There is high-speed internet with a robust wifi network throughout the house, large-screen TV, and stereo system with bluetooth receiver. Maximum 8 guests.

We had an amazing travel experience in Honduras! The house is great. We enjoyed our time spent there. We are a family of 6, (three generations). Were there some hiccups? Sure! But you have to remember we are in a Caribbean climate and the wear and tear on the electric systems and an unreliable electrical source causes damage to both the appliances of the house and the circuit breakers. There were more issues than we expected, but we rolled with it! The house manager, Blanca is an angel on earth. She was on top of any concern we had. She did her best to fix any issues with grace and kindness.With that said, this house is amazing! The view couldn’t have been more spectacular. We loved watching the sunrise from bed! Utila is not only naturally beautiful, but the people and food were nothing short of phenomenal. While there, we enjoyed Scuba, snorkeling, exploring, and eating our way through the island. Mango Tango and Mahmmut steak restaurants are not to be missed. Back to the house, we loved the outdoor shower and dunk tank to wash our gear. The backyard island is a quick swim from the beach, and was so much fun to explore. And finally, but most importantly for us, was the reef just to the right of the house! It was so healthy and vibrant! It had a wonderful variety of sea life. We swam with dolphins just off the backside of the island in the backyard.We would return. Great memories were made!!

For the price we were paying, we didn’t expect to have our electricity monitored daily and charged if over the daily allowance. There was an infestation of bees and flies that should’ve been taken care of prior to our day of arrival. While the house looks very nice, the window placements really didn’t take advantage of the wonderful breezes-it was definitely more aesthetics than usefulness. Blanca was amazingly responsive and a wealth of information!
