I’ve stayed in a lot of vacation rentals. Often the photos make a place seem better than it actually turns out to be. This apartment is an exception to that experience: it exceeds anything a photo can capture. The setting is stunning: from the deck you can see the entirety of the Bay of Villefranche, and lying in bed, you’re looking at the night lights of Cap Ferrat.
The interior is ideal for 2 people (although it can accomodate 4 using the queen-sized fold-down bed). It’s a personal space that’s stylish and modern, with playful and irreverent art, and it has all the gadgets you could need: a clothes washer, a fully equipped kitchen with a Nescafé pod coffeemaker, a Bang & Olufsen TV and a B&O Stereo System. Everything was extremely clean, well-kept—and it even smelled good! The home uses an HVAC diffuser system to keep everything smelling fresh. The owner has really paid attention to the details here!
The location itself is wonderful, too: high enough on the hill to have amazing views, but low enough to easily get to the old town and the train station of Villefranche. A word of warning, though: walking downhill from here is easy, but you should be fit enough to climb some hills if you’re going up! Villefranche is a lovely—but steep—town. Honestly, I liked it. French food can be rich, so it felt good to burn some of those calories off walking home!
The bottom line is this: If you have the chance to rent this space, do it! It’s exceptional in every way. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
