The Ranch was frequently used during the 1980 Winter Olympics. A quarter mile driveway adds to the privacy of the 100 acres property made up of open fields, forests, and the Ausable River. There are trails on the property great for x/c skiing, strolling through the woods or down to the river. If you seek adventure this is the property for you. There are breath taking views of the High Peak Mountains from every room:

We had a great time at River Range with all the kids and grandkids despite the very cold weather. The house is large and well laid out although dated in furnishings and reminded me of my youth. The property and scenery are absolutely beautiful and are well cared for by Frank, who kept the snow cleared, the cross country trail groomed, the firewood stacked and the heat working well. It was greatly appreciated. The area is special with lots to do. We hope to be back!

stayed for four days for a speed skating competition, family and friends. Awesome place to hang out and talk about the days events.

I had the best birthday trip at the River Ranch! The house and property was so incredible. Frank, the house keeper, was so welcoming and attentive. This place was just magical for a group of 10 people. We went skiing at Whiteface for a day which was perfect and explored quite a bit of shopping and museums in the area. There was something for everyone! Cooking in the house was just so much fun with a group. Thank you for such a wonderful stay. I highly recommend this VRBO.
