About this house rental
The Lake House is an original Lake Placid Club cottage, fully renovated in 2013 featuring 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. There are 2 master bedrooms each with a king bed and private bathroom overlooking Mirror Lake. The 2 other bedrooms have 2 double beds each and share a bath. The kitchen is finished with granite counter tops, stainless steel appliances, custom cabinets and wood floors. The great room features a cathedral ceiling with a floor to ceiling fireplace (electric) and commanding views overlooking Mirror Lake. The Lake House is equipped with free high speed wireless internet, washer and dryer and an outdoor patio overlooking Mirror Lake featuring patio furniture and a grill. A/C in bedrooms only.
The Historic Lake Placid Club boasts 45 holes of Championship Golf, extensive mountain biking and cross-country skiing trail systems.
This property is operated by the Lake Placid Club Grandview Hotel and guests may enjoy our indoor pool, hot tub, fitness facilities, and seasonal private beach across the street on Mirror Lake.
We do allow dogs. Maximum 2 dogs. Pet fee of $150.00 plus tax.
We do not allow parties or events. Noise audible outside the Property (including music or loud conversation) is prohibited between 9 p.m. and 9 a.m.
While we provide an initial supply of toilet paper, paper towels, hand soap, and trash bags to get you through the first 24 hours, we recommend you bring the following: toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, napkins, dishwashing liquid, laundry soap, coffee and coffee filters, and anything else you may need for the perfect vacation.
CHECK IN IS 4:00PM and CHECK OUT IS 10:00AM. We will contact you on the day of arrival with the door code as soon as the rental is ready.

Great location for a group of 6 adults to explore various points in the ADK. Property was clean and as advertised, with plenty of space. A couple improvements could be made - bedding could be updated, and could use a few more items like real dishcloths, recycling bins, spare blankets, etc. Definitely spartan for the price, as other reviews have noted, but you're paying for location here.

Our stay at the Lake House was quite pleasant. We went to the hockey games, which was a 10 minute walk. Everything was as expected. We had a great time.

The house was wonderful. Perfect for an extended family staying for ESWG!
Walk into town, private yard for the dogs. Very spacious with all the necessary ammenities!

For the price it was disappointing— minimal bedding old. One would expect a better experience. Towels were non existent- scents of room odd. Not even a keurig. Paint and wall art outdated. Could be so much better. Wow. Does not come close to some cheaper options. Did not appear cleaned.
