About this house rental
This brand new charming Ski Chalet directly overlooks Mirror lake with million dollar views of the famous Olympic Ski Jumps. This home was where a famous modern cult singer grew up. The inside of the Ski Jump Chalet has high end comfort and the location and charm can't be beat. This is a five bedroom Chalet with four FULL bathrooms. The Chalet features all new appliances, a cozy living room with a stone gas fireplace, a game room downstairs with foosball table. The large open kitchen has large story book windows that look directly at Mirror Lake, Marcy Mountain and Olympic Ski jumps. The kitchen connects directly with the dining room and good sized seating area that allows for conversation and game playing while preparing meals. The kitchen has new double ovens, double microwaves, a new gas range and the counters are all hand crafted butcher block. There is a very large fridge and new dishwasher. The views from the top deck overlooking Mirror Lake are inviting and extremely peaceful. In addition, the private backyard hosts a fire pit and nearby is a private six person hot tub. Inside of the house, all of the five new beds - three kings, and two full size -are pillow top mattresses with down comforters, duvets and cozy high end quality linens. (extra blankets and pillows available if needed.)
There is a washer and dryer with lots of space for storage as well.
One of the best things about this property is it's proximity to town. The one minute walk down the driveway brings you to Main Street, Mirror Lake and all of the Village shops and restaurants.
The owners are local and happy to help and provide local knowledge at all times.
We also sanitize the hot tub before and after each stay, and provide one tank of propane for your convenience.
Unfortunately we are unable to have pets, but that's not because we don't love them.
Per property and casualty Insurance and local zoning and code recommendations - security cameras are above exit doors only. These are in plain sight and can be disabled by the guest request upon check in. There is absolutely no camera or monitoring of any kind inside this home. Please note, this is a Private home, therefore there are no handicapped accommodations. If you or your loved one requires special needs or assistance we will not have these so please do not book this home. Please look to booking a Hotel/Motel as they will have these handicapped accommodations. Excellent stay Family of 12 including two toddlers. This was our second rental in Lake Placid that was hosted by Ann. She is a remarkable woman with more energy than you can imagine. She was there to greet us and responded immediately when some issues were raised. She goes above and beyond to meet any need thst her guests have. The house is modern and spacious. All 4 bathrooms are modern and offer showrrs! The views are great and the hot tub and fooseball table were a hit. Plenty of room for yard games and the bbq grill on the covered porch was so convenient. I highly recommend this house and lake placid is a wonderful town. Please be aware that there are 3 levels w stairs in the house (clearly stated in the description) so definitely not for anyone w mobility issues. I would rent again. anytime!!! Thanks Anne!! Very nice house. Spent a lot of time on patio. Great view of Mirror Lake. Walking distance to downtown. Very close to golf courses.

The property is walking distance to the main town .
The property parking has a limit of 4 cars. The house accommodates 12 people. A bit inconvenience to park 3-4 blocks away though it is in the parking area of the same owner.
My recommendation: ceiling fan to the second floor bedrooms ( attic rooms) to circulate air . Remove the broken chair. Hot tub is questionably clean. The deck floor can use some dusting/ cleaning.
