About this apartment rental

In a peaceful lane barred by the Aurelian Walls and closed to traffic, you’ll find a delightful apartment, former annex of the 17th century’s Palazzo Moroni, finely restored with wooden ceilings and an independent entrance .

The flat offers a large living room with two single sofa-beds, a double bedroom (if necessary the double bed can be divided in two single beds), a second bedroom with two single beds, a comfortable bathroom equipped with a large shower, a well equipped kitchen provided with cooker, oven, fridge, freezer and dishwasher. Both bedrooms, overlooking a convent’s garden, are very quiet.
Casa in Trastevere no. 2 is located in Vicolo Moroni, in the heart of Trastevere area, at a stone throw from Piazza Trilussa, Lungotevere (the Tiber river embankment), the 16th century’s Ponte Sisto and the magnificent early Christian church Santa Maria in Trastevere.

Vicolo Moroni is a little blind alley barred by the city walls built by order of the emperor Aurelian and closed to traffic. Not far from there you’ll find the Farnesina Palace with Raphael’s paintings and the places dear to “the Fornarina” (the Raphael’s favorite model), the famous Villa Corsini picture gallery and the Botanical Garden. Hardly leaving Vicolo Moroni you’ll be in the middle of Trastevere area with its busy squares and lanes, a real labyrinth of narrow streets, with its ancient churches, illustrious memories and tens and tens of small restaurants, wine bars and eating spots for every tastes and pockets.

For location, we found our stay to be excellent. Trastevere is busy with restaurants, bars and shops down tiny winding streets but our stay was in a quiet end street. Great food and so interesting to walk around. Also walkable to most of Rome's attractions. Marta was a lovely host, friendly and helpful. Thank you

We loved our Trastevere VRBO stay so much! We wanted to stay near our son doing a semester abroad in Rome, and had no idea about the vibrancy of the Trastevere district until we arrived. But our little place was at the end of the dead end cobblestone alleyway, and our back wall was shared with a convent garden, so the only sound we heard in our bedrooms was birdsong. We slept very well there. We adored the location. In two minutes you could find 50 restaurants, cafes, gelato and bar options, but as soon as you turned our corner it was a little sanctuary. Marta booked us a taxi to and from the airport, which was so lovely after such a long flight from Alaska.

Great location and super close to lots of nice cafes and restaurants. The bedrooms were comfortable and the living area was spacious. Our main problem was that there was an overall dampness and mould smell. This was evident in the bathroom. The shower was broken and there was mould blooming on the ceiling and an unpleasant damp smell. The bathroom did not reflect the listing image. There is also no washing machine despite it being advertised as having one.
