Centrally located basic apartment

Liked the location as it was fairly central, we walked everywhere. We felt very safe in the flat (probably not the best of areas.) Thankyou to owner and Victor for speedy response to the issue with door.

The bed is in a very cramped space, but probably not much can be done about that. Overall the flat seemed clean, but walking about in socks, they got so, so dirty. I think the rug could probably do with being replaced, it seems old and grubby and spoils the appearance. Also there was no microwave.

A hidden gem in the heart of the city

This review is for apartment number 5. Fully air conditioned and well equipped apartment, close to the main train station. Main attractions all easily accessible. Even though you are in the heart of the city, the apartment is on a safer side and in a quiet street. The place feels spacious, is clean and nicely decorated. As mentioned in other reviews, the host is very friendly, available and genuinely accommodating.

There are only two towels provided and no paper towels at all. Some of the furniture is a bit wobbly; mainly the chairs at the dining table and some closet doors. Some maintenance work is needed; a fresh paint and the mold in the shower. As already mentioned, this apartment is on the second floor with steep stairs and no elevator.

Good flat and location

It was a good stay. Veronique made it very flexible and helpful. The location is near most touristic places, with lots of transportation options. My stay was good thanks!

Perfect and comfy

It was a lovely location, not touristy which we really enjoyed. We found everything in great condition, the apartment was very comfortable for us three. The best, though, is that even if we never met the owner, we really felt the love that she puts into doing this.

Excellent facilities and nice friendly staff

I think this property was perfect for me and my family. Helpful staff, polite and friendly and always support whenever we asked. Not convenient place to stay.

Near train station and local attractions.

Restroom smelt bad like molds and toilet fixture was moved while using it. Too tight and small sink in the Restroom, can't brush teeth or use it properly. WIFI was not working, no internet most of time. Old building with tight and steep stairs. No elevator. This is not good idea for old people or people with big baggage or physical conditions. No towels, nor proper linens. I will not go back there.

Exceptional

We loved our time in this apartment; very well equipped, confortable; not too big, but the space is well organized, for 3 people it was perfect. The owner is nice and helpful. Practical opening mechanism eliminating the need for a physical key. Calm, with the view on a yard with a garden. Close to the train station (5min walk), 20min by foot to the Marseille's main port and old city.

Very cozy apartment in central Marseille

It was very cozy and the AC really cooled down the room quickly. The communication with Véronique was straight forward and her friend, who lives in the same building, gave some great recommendations on what to do in Marseille. It is very central and therefore there might be some noise in the evening but as far as City apartments go this was one of the quieter ones that I've been to.

beautiful studio in the middle of marseille

it's a lovely little studio flat! the sofabed is super comfortable, the air condition is working very well. The location is absolutely super, 7 min walking distance from the station, and right in the center, 2 min away is a beautiful square, cafés restaurants highly recomendable Veronique and Alex are superfast in responding to questions

- sofa bed too soft for us and it was quite squeaky. - there’s very bad smell from the bathroom, maybe was from the pipe of building..not a big deal but if you care. - the blanket has strange humidity smell too. - next time we will read the room description and reviews properly before we book.

Apartment itself was ok, a bit small but comfortable

Location of the property is from the worse nightmare. Dangerous zone of Marseille, a lot of sketchy people around, police in the night. If you want to go there use ONLY taxi so they leave you in front of the door. Also there is no kettle or dishwasher.

Great compact apartment with everything you need

Great location — easily accessible to the train station, buses, metro and trams. We walked down to the Vieux Port in under 20 minutes most days. There are a few late night shops around the corner which is convenient if you arrive late at night. The apartment is small but has everything you need, including full-size fridge and freezer, washing machine, oven, three burners/hobs, TV and sofa. The sleeping area is small so you might find it a squeeze if you are used to a king-size bed. The A/C is a blessing as the apartment gets quite warm. The shower has great pressure and the whole apartment was very clean. The location next to the garden means it is very quiet all day.

Would have been nice to have some extra bin bags and tea towels for a four-night stay.

Good apartment very close to train station.

Very convenient location only a few minutes walk from the train station.The little apartment was very well equipped with a bedroom, and additional sofa bed ( make sure to tell the host a few days ahead of time that you need sheets for the sofa bed) , a kitchen with kettle, coffee maker, fridge, stove and even a washing machine, air conditioning . There is a small washroom with a shower. We paid a little extra for a courtyard view, but it’s not an attractive courtyard, so not necessary. It had wifi and a door code, so easy to access independently at any hour. The host was very responsive and helpful. The windows opened easily for fresh air.

Location & setup of room

The room really needed a good deep clean. Alot of things were very dusty, I don't think the rug had been vacuumed for a while and the washing machine detergent draw was very average. Plastic mattress protector on bed under sheet was very uncomfortable. Would have been great to have had some washing detergent supplied for the washing machine

Huge disappointment.

The apartment was done up quite well and had basic amenities like fridge, washing machine (no dryer) and TV. It was quite cosy.

The location of the apartment is quite poor; quite a few drunkards around; we could see people shouting and fighting. There was an overflowing trashcan just outside the building which wasnt cleaned in the 24 hours we were there. The public parking nearest to the apartment was extremely shady and very unsafe. We booked this apartment for 3 nights, however we left after the first night itself as we did not feel comfortable in the area at all. No drinking water was provided. There are no fans in the apartment and the windows do not open so it was quite stuffy despite the air conditioning. The bathroom is extremely tiny and barely has any space.
