Built with the idea of being the best vacation home you could find. Located across from Sunriver Village Mall. Short walk (500 feet) to Country Store for your morning paper and coffee drink. With all of this it's still a quiet location with lots of common area. The red roof of the Country Store is visible through the trees in the deck view picture.
We made the kitchen the best working and equipped possible. Stainless, dual fuel range, maple cabinets, granite counter tops and tile floors to dress it up. Tired of opening every cupboard to find a coffee cup? Open upper cupboards take care of that, just look. Lower cabinets and huge built in open wall shelves all pull out on rollers for ease of finding things. Pantry room just inside back door and adjacent to the kitchen for your supplies. Extra refrigerator and freezer in the garage for your use. No second Costco run necessary.
Good beds, great showers and entertained kids make for a great vacation. Game room has three dedicated stand up arcade games, pinball, 55 inch flat screen TV with DVD/VCR player, hookups for your console video games and 300 movies. Four extra sleeping pads in the game room. The kids will be dazzled. Recreation/swimming passes included.
A/C is a huge mini split in the living area. Just installed. High desert summer climate, hot days but cold nights, open a window.
All bedrooms have private full baths.

The kitchen was fully stocked, with a variety of small appliances. My son is a professional chef, and he loves the gas stove.We all loved the living room setup. The dining room table accommodated all 10 of us.

Pros: 1. It's huge! Having 6 bedrooms each with a full bathroom allowed for all of us to spread out and have privacy.2. It's very well stocked. Not only the kitchen but also having sooo many high-quality bikes and a game room with fun retro games, an old juke box, a hot tub and even a sauna!! Lots of things to keep everyone busy. 3. Location! Being able to walk to the Village in less than 5 minutes is ideal, IMO, as you are so close to stores and restaurants. 4. Communication with the host. He was very responsive and helpful. The Cons:1. The house is very dated and very much overdue for upgrades. Smelled bad. Kinda gave me the ick. This is my 4th rental in Sunriver and def my least fav. Had pictures of all the bathrooms been included in the listing, I would have passed on the booking. Mold in 2 showers, and a dirty shower cap left hanging on a hook in another bathroom. Kitchen table looked like cheaply painted plywood, couches were old. 2. Back deck was covered in very thick blanket of pine needles- we had to clean it ourselves to make it usable. I feel this needs to be part of the cleaning crew's responsibility. 3. Saune is really too small for more than 1 person if you want to lie down. But I also feared that the bench was going to collapse underneath me with how much it creaked and sank when a second person sat down on it. 4. Mattresses are not very comfortable and the pillows were so flat and lumpy and stained. Total ick. Please buy new pillows!
