Del Mar Heights Hideway w/ BBQ, Pool access, 5min drive to Beaches, 20min to Zoo

The property was as described and in a quiet neighborhood. Would stay again. Lots of natural light in the various rooms and the back patio was a good place to relax. House was well stocked with towels, bedding, and pillows. As other reviews mention, the kitchen has basic cooking equipment so unless you need anything special, you should be fine. Make sure to buy bulk soap+toilet paper+paper towels before you arrive as we had about a few days worth in the unit when we arrived. Pool and jacuzzi in the complex's common area were nice to use. The common area gym was barebones and the AC was broken during our stay, so join a local gym if you need to get a workout in. However, make sure to check out the bike path just a mile south of the house! If you're still reading this review, you likely are considering the place and want to know about the finer details of the other amenities, so I'll mention the unit is as-described and the photos are accurate. The garage is 2 car, but barely due to lots of storage taking up one side. The Internet is fast enough for at least 2 people to work remotely. However, there isn't a great office desk or chair spot, but you can make do with the kitchen table and small wicker chair in the 2nd bedroom. Two of the three bathrooms don't have vent fans and the main shower doesn't have a working vent fan so the bedroom gets a little steamy when taking a longer bath or shower. Water pressure is great though. Make sure to visit the local beaches :)

Nice quiet place, had a comfortable and lengthy stay. Only slight issues with stock of kitchen and cooking tools, could use a few upgrades and additions, or bring your own…just things like pots/pans, colander, salt/pepper shaker, etc. Overall, it was a good place to stay for a bit.

Property was exactly as it shows in the pictures. Decor/furnishings are a bit dated, but everything was clean and there were no issues with the property. Super cute neighborhood, safe, lots of restaurants close by, etc... The only minor negative was that during the 6 week stay, there were a lot of unusually hot days and the home just didn't have enough breeze going through the windows to cool down. It was hot upstairs even at night, with all windows open and fans going. We knew the property didn't have A/C, though, so it's not the owner's fault. Just be aware that if staying in the summer months, it can be uncomfortable. Overall, would recommend!

My colleague and I had business in Carmel Valley and stayed here for one month. This house have 2 bed rooms, 1 for adults and 1 for children. So for adult, children bed is quite small. Beside of this, other things satisfied us, a nice house includes garage, back yards and neighbors were friendly. The owner also responded quickly whenever I had a question or request. In general, I rank it 4 star.
