About this apartment rental
Beach front condo on 2nd floor of low-rise building. Quiet and no hassle waiting for elevator but has all the amenities offered at the Resort. One bedroom with king size bed, two full baths, queen sofa sleeper in living room. Full kitchen, newly remodeled w/ all full size stainless appliances, built-in microwave. All dishware, glasses, utensils furnished. Nice size balcony with table for outdoor dinners or the coffee in the morning. Watch the dolphins or the sunset/sunrise and enjoy the quiet. Two TV's and Free Wi Fi.
Enjoy swimming or sunning by pool between Leeward and Windward buildings or swim at the Lagoon pool just a few steps away. Beverages can be purchased both in or out by the Oceans Restaurant by the Lagoon pool. Kiddies splash area and Cabanas are available also near Lagoon pool. Full service restaurant, pizza place, gift shop, beauty shop all on-site for owners and their guests.
Had enough beach? There are tennis courts, pickleball courts, fitness center, Par 3- 9 hole private golf course, All without leaving the property. And, a tram to take you to them is Free for the asking.
Panama City Beach offers new Pier Park open mall w/ restaurants, shopping, cinema. Hiking biking trails, mini-golf, water sports of all kinds, helicopter rides, boat rentals, fishing, an overall great vacation spot for everyone.
Some of our favorite eating spots: Sharkey's, Wicked Wheel, Saltwater Restaurant, Pineapple Willie's, Firefly, American Charlies and Oceans that is on-site.
The little ones and older ones alike will enjoy Wonder Works, mini-golf, Zoo World, Gulf World, Shipwreck Island water park, to name a few.
Edgewater Beach and Golf Resort offers these amenities: 110 acres along the World's Most Beautiful Beaches of White, Powder Sand. 9 hold Par 3 executive golf course, The Club pro shop, Beach chair rentals, on property dining at Ocean's Bar and Grill, Paradise Pizza and Edgie's Corner Market. Edgewater is our favorite resort ... and we prefer the Leeward and Windward buildings (the smaller structure is preferred over the taller towers).The only suggestion we have for improvement is for the host to include a bit more supplies: we had to go out to buy toilet paper, dishsoap and laundry soap

Stayed at Edgewater plenty of years, didn't even know this part existed. Perfect place for us. Not crowded like the tower area. Most days it felt like we were the only ones in the water. Highly recommend

Pros: Sharon is very nice and very responsive. Location is great, beach is beautiful.
Cons: We spent a considerable amount of money for this condo for a few days in peak season, right as everyone was emerging from the quarantine. Before check in, she let us know the patio door wasn’t closing. She sent someone to fix it the next day but it remained open most of the night. Not a problem, no big deal.
The next day, I realized the sinks in the bathrooms and the tub drains were so slow to drain that we were standing in our own filthy shower water for the whole shower and brushing our teeth in a sink full of our own spit. She asked me to use the lager/plunger in the tubs for now until she could get someone to come. That she would “make it up to me”. I finally found the plunger so I tried it on both tubs that were full of icky water, no luck, it wasn’t moving. She sent someone the next day to fix it. No big deal.
I asked about the WiFi since that building doesn’t have the greatest cell reception. She called the building and got me instructions on resetting the router. When that didn’t work she got us connected to her other unit next door that has its own WiFi. No big deal.
One of our last days there we tried to run the dishwasher and use the garbage disposal. The dishwasher leaked into the floor requiring a towel to soak up the water and the garbage disposal sounded like it was full of rocks. We also tried to run some of our clothes through the washer and dryer. There’s a note that states you need to empty the dryer filter before and after use so I tried and it dumped so much sand and trash from other peoples clothes that I just refused to use it.
I had debated on this review because Sharon was quick to respond. She kept saying “nobody else had these issues and they checked out the same day you checked in” and “I’m sorry you’ve had to deal with this”. Honestly I expected her to issue me some type of minimal refund, any amount would have really took the sting out of a problem filled vacation. When she said “try this and I’ll make it up to you”, I felt a little more at peace thinking she would but it seems having a plumber come in was all she meant.
I’m careful with my reviews as I know this is something people will read before choosing her condo, but had I have seen a review like this one, maybe I would have chosen different and not stayed somewhere I had to speak to the owner everyday about something broken.
I will not stay here again.
