About this country house rental
Lovely, rustic but updated Farmhouse in Amish-country PA. Quiet, peaceful, lovely. Far from the rat-race, but close enough to all necessary amenities. Comfortable sleeping for 10, though best used for 9 or less. A CHEF's KITCHEN, with two ovens, for the foodies. Close to great hunting and fishing for those who love the outdoors. A great area for biking, long walks, Scrabble games, cooking out and enjoying all that Mother Nature has to offer. 2.75 hours from DC, 2.2 hours from Baltimore, 3 hours from Pittsburgh or Philly, 45 minutes from Harrisburg.

Like being home. Perfect layout, perfect country atmosphere - everything you need and the surrounding farms and folks were most delightful. Would go there again and again.

Our family of seven ( 5 teens) enjoyed this home a lot. It was big enough for all of us inside, as well as a lot of room outdoors to run around. The kitchen is amazing. We tried out a few new recipes. We enjoyed swimming , fishing , biking and hiking at Little Buffalo State Park and Tuscarora State Forest. We took a trip to the Susquehanna River and went kayaking. The place was unique and historic but also very clean.

The property is amazing with 2 acres of lawn perfect for children to run around. The modern updated kitchen is the real show stopper in the house and is where we spent 90% of our time. Colonel Denning State Park is only 30 minutes away where there is a beach with a pond and hiking for all ages, I recommend Flat Rock Trail for the adults!

Total quiet and relaxation! No internet or cable to distract! Enjoyed the sunrise from the deck and the sunset from the front porch. Totally serene! I highly recommend it for anyone that wants to get away from it all!!
