About this cabin rental

Located in Huntingdon County, nestled in the woods, this lovely home provides a warm and welcoming escape for your upcoming vacation. Surrounded by the natural beauty of the region, you'll be just a 20-minute drive from the stunning Raystown Lake and a 20-minute drive from the vibrant Juniata College campus. 10 minutes to 1,000 steps, downtown Huntingdon.

As a guest, you'll enjoy the cabin's wealth of amenities, including (dial-up WIFI), a washing machine and dryer, a cozy electric fireplace, and 4 smart TVs for your entertainment. The fully stocked kitchen is a chef's dream, featuring a stove, oven, refrigerator, grill, microwave, lobster pot, dishwasher, and a host of other appliances and utensils. Gather around the large dining table or step outside to the porch and fire pit for al fresco dining and relaxation.

When it's time to unwind, you can curl up with a good book from the cabin's library, challenge your family to a game night, or simply bask in the tranquility of the great outdoors. With air conditioning, linens, and essential toiletries provided, you'll have everything you need for a comfortable and carefree stay.

Cabin sleeps 6 but, we do offer accommodations for additional guests up to 12. Ask the owner for more details about the Bunkhouse. We do not rent out the Bunkhouse except to persons renting the cabin. No other guests will be on the property during your stay. Just you and your group will be there. Best part, a minimal fee to use the additional space to sleep 6 and an extra bathroom too! The cost is 50.00 per night.

This property is located in a quiet peaceful, wooded area. The home is very clean and well equipt. Ajacent to the main house is a bunk house that our granddaughter loves. Property is as the owner describes in the listing. We had an enjoyable stay!!

The Cabin cottage was in excellent condition. It was clean and very relaxing. The host made sure every little item was taken care of. Our group travels fairly frequently and can be particular about our experience in terms of communication, cleanliness, ease of access to the property and accommodations. I can say without hesitation that this was one of our best experiences. We were granted early check in, had timely communication with any questions we had and the place was spotless. We really enjoyed our stay at the Cottage on Pine.The weather was not totally cooperative, so the covered porch allowed us to still be outdoors. The owner was very responsive. They supplied paper products, bath items, spices and coffee. I was told, just bring your toothbrush, food and clothes.We put those that snore in the very nice bunkhouse.

This property was by far the best rental I’ve ever stayed in. It was fully stocked with absolutely anything you would ever need whether that be household items, games, or references for things to do in the area. We had an absolutely amazing time! So clean and charming! Lots of character, you can tell that many happy memories have been made on this property.

The pictures don't actually do the property justice, it was absolutely beautiful inside and out. The hosts have thought of everything. Loads of games for outside, movies to watch in every room, the porch is absolutely wonderful and I want one just like it now! The kitchen is large and has everything you could need, the beds are comfortable and the rooms are decorated beautifully! I wish we had found this property sooner, because we would have reserved it for each trip to see my niece at Juniata college. My only regret is that we didn't have more time to just relax at the house. Thanks to the hosts who thought of everything and were communicative from the time we reserved until after we left the property. Thanks for the wonderful home away from home!

This was our first time at this property, but hopefully will not be our last! The home and bunkhouse are both more spacious than in the pictures online. Everything was immaculately clean, and everything you could want was available at the property. Plenty of outdoor seating, and lovely ambience in the evenings. The owners were incredibly pleasant to work with and responded promptly to any query I made with them. I would give a rating of 10 stars if I could!

This is our second time staying at "The Animal House" as it is so lovingly dubbed by the sign hanging from the living room's open rafters. This will absolutely not be our last. Our check in process was as easy as it was the last time. Just a quick text to the host, who is fast to respond and a delight to talk to. Once inside the house just drips with character. The decoration is a perfect match to the rustic, but 100% modern feel of the cabin. The outside is just as relaxing and inviting as the inside, with the covered porch and patio area being great spots to just lounge around in and listen to the tree frogs and insects. My Wife and I have had a hectic semester in college so this long weekend was a much needed and well deserved break and we were lucky to be able to head back to Cottage on Pine on short notice. You will no be disappointed if you want to stay a day, a week or even longer.

We were there mostly to wind down and sleep for the night after being at family events, but wish we could have had a few more days to stay and really enjoy more time being there. This was one of the nicest properties I’ve stayed at in Raystown. The cabin itself was very clean and had lots of essentials provided; towels, shampoo, kitchen supplies, lots of fire wood, and plenty of seating. Check in process was fairly simple and we were very happy to be able to get an early check in as well. Melissa was great to communicate with and responded in a very timely manner. Will love to be back in the future!

My husband and I enjoyed our stay here while visiting our daughter for family weekend at Juniata College. My daughter also stayed over one night. Extremely clean and well equipped house, beds were very comfortable. We will definitely stay again when we visit her. Only slight thing to be aware of is it's a pretty long gravel road to get to the house so be aware if that's an issue for your car (it was fine for us).

I can not say enough how nice this property is. Melissa is very prompt in communicating. The cabin was very clean. The cabin was cutely decorated. There are so many things provided and also notes explaining procedures that it really made me feel like she thought of everything to make people happy and comfortable! The outside and deck area are impressive and had plenty of seating. The cabin is in a great location for a multitude of outdoor activities and also not far from stores and restaurants. We had a wonderful few days and wished we could have stayed longer!

This is our 3rd year to the area, and by far our favorite house thus far. The house was extremely clean, and well stocked. Our kids loved playing out back, and so did the dogs! We had friends camping over on the Juniata river, so it took us about 30min to get there, and 40 to seven points. It was so nice to have everything there we needed, next time will save me a ton of packing! Our only issue is the bed was a tempurpedic or something, and my husband who is 3 times my size would go to bed first - I would roll into him, almost like an air mattress would. Thankfully most nights I was so exhausted from activities I would fall asleep putting my boys down or on the couch 😝. Overall, amazing home, and Melissa was so sweet to work with! We will be back! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We were pleasantly surprised. The directions to the property were spot on, and when we arrived the property was exactly as described. There was plenty of things to do at the property, and as an extra bonus there was an awesome booklet with the history of the property. The grandchildren enjoyed making smores in the firepit, as well as playing the games supplied by the host. The property was far enough away from the busy areas, but close enough to be able to run to town for necessities (ran out of eggs...LOL) It was an awesome weekend, and we will be returning.

From the start, Communication was A+ from Melissa. She was very quick to respond to any question. The house was very clean and the AC worked great! The kitchen was loaded with dishes, pots and pans, spices, saran wrap, foil, even cooking oil, brown sugar...little things you may have forgotten, etc. The beds were comfy and there were plenty of blankets and towels. The check in/out process was easy. Very nice just having a doorcode. We LOVED the porch area. That's where we spent most of our time. The fire pit area was nice. Plenty of seating and there were marshmallow sticks. We also had our son and his family stay in the "bunkhouse" which they loved.Such a great space!! The only downfall is that it's wasnt close to Tatman Run where we swam everyday(25mins away) but I knew when I booked it was a little farther. Friday and Saturday nights the atvs were pretty loud going back and forth, but I already knew that from looking at reviews. We have rented many cabins and this one had alot of "stuff", you could almost say "clutter" but it was part of the decor and it really didnt get in the way.

This cottage is in a very peaceful location, no traffic noise. We had breakfast on the screen- in porch while listening to many birds singing in the woods. It is very clean and has a great kitchen. We would go back again.
