We just love this place. It’s our second time staying here. A great respite after a rough year and the passing off my father. So quiet and peaceful with no crowds or noise. The fridge door doesn’t close tight and is kind of small but just fine. The bbq needed a cleaning but also no biggie. Will come again as this has become our favorite place so far.

For our vacation this year we wanted someplace quieter, a little less commercialized, with good beach access, & where we could include our dog. Some friends recommended Indian Pass, and we found this property with available dates & a good rate. It was just about everything we hoped for. This house is set in a quiet little neighborhood, two streets back from the beach (about a 2 minute walk), but backing up to a marsh. I particularly enjoyed taking the dog for a walk on the beach at sunrise, then sitting in the screened-in porch drinking coffee while watching the birds in the marsh. We actually spent a lot of time on the back porch reading & playing board games, even though the house has very good AC. We ate most of our meals at the house, taking advantage of the kitchen. The nearest actual grocery story is a 20 minute drive into Port. St. Joe, but there is a general store just around the corner from the house which stocks most of the essentials. The beach was great, not too crowded, with moist, packed sand that was easy to walk on & not too hot. We only had two minor issues about the week: a) the weather, which is always a gamble in FL this time of year, and b) the relatively weak wifi. If more than a couple of us tried to log on at a time, things really seemed to bog down. But since one of our goals this trip was to unplug and unwind, the WiFi issues probably helped us to spend less time on devices & more time interacting. We’ll definitely consider staying again.

Very well appointed. Great location. Lots of towels. The only down side is the bed in the master is very tall. Almost impossible for my 4-11 wife to get into it with out help.

Nope! At first we were just happy to be on a very long overdue and much needed vacation. Upon arrival we notice the outdoor trashcan overturned into the parking area. Our thoughts, an animal..ok, we can handle that. We did notify just to be sure they were aware it was not our trash. Responded quickly with that they could send someone out to pick it up, no one came. I’m not picking up someone’s maggot covered trash. Each day the trash was being dragged around the yard. We saw a coyote sitting in the yard so that can’t be helped, we know how wildlife is, but we did not pay to come clean up a yard or trash from the previous renters while on vacation. Inside the home, we were expecting clean, instead dead roaches. The back porch actually had cooked shrimp, seasoning, and onion peels laying out on the table next to the grill. I notified about this issue, was told the exterminator had just been on Tuesday and that was probably why we saw the dead. Completely understand! We get it! We are on vacation and decided not to allow even that to bother us! I can’t even make this up, the second night, one of the roaches the exterminator must have missed crawled into the bed with us! He is now laying under the chest of drawers in the master just in case follow up guest read this and it wasn’t cleaned. We left the place 100 times more clean than we found it and WE had to PAY to do it!!! You’re welcome!!! HOPE THIS HELPS WITH YOUR DECISION! I wish I only had more space to write more.
