About this house rental
The Enchanted Treehouse is perched on a sand dune overlooking Lake Michigan with 100' of private lakefront. Enjoy the magnificent lake views from every room or the deck with table, chairs and BBQ.
Enjoy sightseeing and dining in Grand Haven 9 miles (15 minutes) to the north or Holland 12 miles (20 minutes) to the south. Take the 145 steps to the beach and park your blankets or chairs on your own private beach. There are no rocks and the sugar-fine sand slopes gently into the crystal clear water.
Avoid the crowds and enjoy the peace and tranquility that this property has to offer. This unique modern rustic, post and beam style cottage was designed by award winning architect Chuck Posthumus to maximize lake views while minimizing environmental impact on the critical dune.
Sorry, not suitable for weddings or other events. Parking is limited. The unique features of this house that provide the spectacular treetop views, also make the home more physically demanding and unsuitable for people who have physical or ambulatory limitations and it is not handicapped accessible.
Rates are based on 2 guests; add $15.00 per night, per additional guest. 1 - 2 dogs allowed with owner's permission and additional pet fee. Must request at time of booking and provide breed, size and age.
There are outdoor security cameras onsite. One faces the driveway, two faces the two entry doors, and one faces the steps to the beach.

This property was beautiful. Everything was in great shape, with everything you would need. The only warning is if you can’t do stairs this place is not for you.

We got to stay at this amazing unique property. We are a family of 4. It met all of our needs. The kitchen and the rest of the house was stocked well and the lake views were great. Only thing I would change is, although there were a lot of fans, is put ceiling fans in the bedrooms as there was no a/c and it was near record heat while we were there. Other than that it was great. A lot of steps are an understatement, but we all managed. We did evening beach walks, played games provided and had wonderful family time. Thank you.

Rented this house for out of town family gathering here for a graduation. While you might first be concerned about the narrow winding road that leads up to the house and the steps you need to climb it is all worth once you get inside and look out at the breathtaking view of Lake Michigan. The house is clean comfortable and well stocked. The beach is beautiful. Everyone was taken with the wood interior. Does need a new couch. We all had a wonderful time. I was thrilled to share this experience with my kids and grandkids!

The property listing is accurate. The views of Lake Michigan throughout the house are wonderful and we enjoyed our stay. There are no shades on the windows and apparently no insulation between floors and rooms so if you need a very dark and quiet room to sleep while others are up and about you may not get your normal sleep during a stay.
