Excellent weekend in a beautiful little apartment.

Lovely little apartment in a perfect location on the High Street. Really liked the bathroom & kitchen facilities.

Just needed an extra hoover in the lounge & change of bedding - the owner rectified matters as soon as we reported this.

Dirty and smelly, host could not care less. Expensive. Dunkeld is beautiful though!

Not clean. Dirty linen and bins full from previous guests. Smelled. Host was apologetic, blamed Booking.com and new cleaning company. Offered me 3 options, deal with it, find somewhere else to stay, or wait for a cleaner. I had a packed weekend so could not wait around for a cleaner, wasn't aware they had no spare key for the cleaner to come so I could at least have the second night in a clean apartment. No cleaner so spent £300 to sleep in a dirty smelly apartment. Tried to reach out to host to rectify. No response after my stay. Shame.

Exceptionally disappointing.

It was small and cosy.

Being promised a code would be sent for the lock box to enter apartment at the time I indicated I would be arriving only to arrive later than expected and having to sit in my car for a further 40 minutes trying to contact owner to get entry. Not having a remote for the TV. Two flights of very steep stairs that aren’t in the best condition to climb - perhaps a warning about these would be helpful. I’m just glad my partner changed his mind and decided not to come as he would never have been able to climb these safely.

Amazing location, but very dark and a little claustrophobic

The location is amazing. Right above the Chip Shop, with free parking right on the High Street at the front door. The kitchen has an oven with hobs, good size fridge and breakfast bar. The ensuite shower room gets beautiful morning sun (it was a relief in the dark decor). The building feels lived in, rather than staying in a hotel. Not too noisy, despite central location.

This property will be marmite for guests. The decor is SO dark, with black painted doors and frames, black floral wallpaper, dark grey kitchen and floors etc. The windows are tiny also. This makes it feel very claustrophobic, so if you're bothered by that, this is maybe not for you - not really a place to unwind and chill out. But ideal if you're going to be out most of the day and just need a good central location to sleep and eat. No microwave, either. The stairs have been commented on by others. They are run down but well lit and felt safe (2nd floor door). I understand they are going for a "boutique" style, but a change of decor to much lighter colours would boost the score from me.

A quaint wee loft apartment.

The location in Dunkeld is good. It is a quaint wee loft apartment and has a lovely bright bathroom and nice touches like books on display. We were catching up with family so didn’t use any of the facilities but nice wee kitchen area and cost wee space.

The room is very tiny and dark as the velux window so small, however we were aware of that when we booked it. Window could definitely do with a clean which didn’t help. Also the round coffe table didn’t look very clean either with sticky marks. The bed was very small for a double, more 3/4. Considering how much we paid for one night I thought the 10am checkout could have been a bit later. We had family to visit, and aware of this so wasn’t a problem for us, but for a wee overnight stay only gives you 18 hours in the apartment. Also I’d suggest you update your information on restaurants as Scottish deli no longer exists for evening tapas.

Great Location but poor facilites

Did not get breakfast

entrance to property filthy with paint peeling off walls, accommodation had not been cleaned when we arrived, sofa and cushions badly stained and not in good condition, loose tap in bathroom, no cord on blind, shower head would stay in place foe showering. Overall cleaning especially the flooring poor.

It fitted the purpose of the visit but we weren’t comfortable with the entrance and stairs.

The entrance to the apartment was awful with the plaster falling off the walls. There was no handrail on the upper flight of stairs . There was no light when we came back after dark and we needed to use the torch on the mobile phone. There was no mention of the fact it was above a chippy so the smell drifted up to the flat.

Warm and cosy. Perfect location for enjoying beautiful Dunkeld. Lots of pubs and places to eat.Everything clean and tidy. Host very easy to get in touch with and responsive. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Superb

Great apartment for 2 people, cracking bathroom with spacious shower. Excellent location, was perfect for visiting Blair Atholl and Pitlochry. A lot of places in the village to eat and drink, would highly recommend the chip shop downstairs!

WiFi doesn't work, whatever password they give you and network they say to try, it doesn't work and they will ignore your messages about. Tv and fire stick doesn't work either so if your staying for a few nights or more download something before you come to watch at night.

Lucky escape.

The apartment looked pleasant online, and was dog friendly for a last minute decision to spend a couple of nights in Dunkeld for golf.

I get a genius discount, and the owner made the hidden charge for being pet friendly up to the pre discounted price. After the booking was made. As the standard rate for properties that aren't actually dog friendly is £10 per evening, I found the £30 added on charge to be excessive and a cynical move by the owner, Michael. In the chat section, I asked Michael to cancel the booking because of this. He was purposely very rude, implying that I couldn't afford to stay in Dunkeld whilst bad mouthing other businesses there too! and insisted I go through the contact centre to cancel. Which took hours, and wasn't necessary. All in all, it was a very unpleasant experience, and if I didn't know Dunkeld to be a lovely place, it would have put me off visiting entirely. The only upside was Michael's dreadful hospitality levels showed themselves before we arrived.

Second staircase needs a handrail. Silver bedside lamp not working. Could not figure out television. Inadequate instructions. Stair light did not always come on in the dark.

The location was absolutely perfect, right in the heart of Dunkeld, couldn't fault it. The apartment was small but has a very clever use of the space, and was a lovely home for a couple of nights.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night last minute stay. Location couldn’t have been better!

The fact it was right in heart of town but nice and quiet. Everything to hand. Particularly pleased that it was dog friendly.

A few extra items, such as a pan scourer, kitchen towel. Also cupboard space was limited but understandable given it’s a small apartment.

gorgeous cosy and brilliantly located. was safe and perfect for work (WiFi fir my video conferencing etc) the place was super clean, warm and has a great vibe. host was efficient helpful and friendly. the best sleep I’ve had in ages and didn’t want to leave!
