About this apartment rental
Our private, rambling, historic Santa Cruz compound from the 1890`s has been completely updated, yet retains its quirky, unique charm. With sweeping views, an expansive deck and a modern chef`s kicthen, our home is perfect for families and friends to gather and enjoy a relaxing get-away. Surf, hike, bike, skate, cook fabulous meals, drink cocktails on the deck, visit our bee hives or walk to the beach, boardwalk or downtown. All the best local amenities are right outside the gate...
The 2,500 sq. feet, light filled space is divided into 2 floors:
Downstairs: You will find brand new, updated cook`s kitchen with a Sub Zero fridge, 2 dishwashers, 3 sinks and a Wolf six burner range with griddle top. The kitchen is fully equipped for all your cooking needs. The dining room opens out onto an expansive deck overlooking Santa Cruz, the Boardwalk and the ocean beyond. A moroccan tiled bathroom with soaking tub is located just off the kitchen where you can hang your beach towels and rinse your feet. The large, bright and open living space is perfect for enjoying with friends and family. The downstairs also features a library room filled with books, games and kid`s art supplies.
Upstairs:
Bedroom #1 features a queen size bed, small writing desk and large closet.
Bedroom #2 has a full bed, a dresser and a large closet. An additional twin mattress is located under bed.
Bedroom #1 and #2 share a small bathroom with a designer tiled shower.
Bedroom #3 is the Master bedroom with queen bed, built in closet and ensuite bathroom and a private deck.
Bedroom #4 also has a queen bed, built-in closet, ensuite bathroom and outstanding view.
Only the main house is accessible to guests.
*Please note that there is a caretaker who lives on the premises across from the main house.

The house is situated on an acre of land on a quiet street. A nearby park leads to the beach and boardwalk—a 10-minute walk away. Stroll into Downtown Santa Cruz, and to shops, groceries, and pharmacies.
Walk, ride, surf, bike, swim or drive your way around Santa Cruz! There`s so much to see and do. Guest manual and local activity guides are provided on site.
The house is both Wifi and Sonos enabled. Please read guest manual for house use instructions.

We stayed at this property last year with our adult married children and grandchildren and made a return trip this summer. Our grandkids enjoy the boardwalk and it is a treat for us to tag along. The common space: living room, kitchen and deck are a generous size and give us plenty of breathing room for hanging out together. The location is ideal to walk to local cafes, bakeries and stores plus an easy walk down the street thru the park to the Boardwalk. The much loved decor and furnishing are worn but interesting and well thought out. We wouldn't hesitate to come back again next summer.

The property, house and amenities were exactly as described and impeccable. It was a beautiful place to relax on the deck and enjoy the weather, the views and the sounds of the boardwalk. Extremely comfortable in every way. I would stay again!
