Long Lake Maine - Create Your Family Vacation Memories Here at Flatrock!

After renting on Long Lake for more than 20 years, I can say Flatrock is one of the nicest family properties we've stayed at. The owner takes tremendous pride in this home and goes above and beyond to make guests feel welcome.The cabin was spotless when we arrived, and every bed was freshly made with clean, comfortable linens (minor fee). Beach towels were provided. Kitchen was stocked with every accessory we needed. My daughter makes high protein bagels and even had a good quality blender to use. lol Communication was always prompt, friendly, and helpful from the moment we booked until the day we left. It's obvious he's continually investing in the property, with beautiful updates. fresh paint, comfortable/clean new sofas, sunroom furniture, bedding, carpeting, path to the lake, and excellent dock.The partly flat yard was perfect for our athletic family to play cornhole and Spikeball, and when the grass was wet, the deck was long enough for cornhole as well! Driveway is paved so basketball dribbling practice continued! The fire pit is beautiful, plenty of firewood provided (rarity), and having a canoe available was a wonderful bonus.Young children can enjoy the gradual entry using the wide lake steps with bit of sand, Older kids and adults have enough depth at the end of the dock to safely jump in. Plenty of room to swim, sunbathe. Mooring was great for our rented boat. Canoe helps with back & forth. Flatrock is a gem for toddlers to grandparents.

This was our second year in row at Flatrock. This place is perfect for our family and in a great location. We love that it's so private but so close to nearby stores in case we need anything. Charlie is a great host and is always available for questions and provides an amazing survival guide with tons of info. The house is fully stocked with quality everything! We especially love the dishes and pans. Plenty of space for 8 people and the dinner table is perfect for game nights. The brand new dock was awesome. My 83 year old dad still likes to jump in the lake but has trouble with ladders so the new stairs were a great addition. Our kids are teenagers now, but there is a really nice setup upstairs for smaller kids including a super cute bedroom, games, books, and DVDs to watch. It was great to have some floats that were already inflated that we could use. The lake water is so refreshing, clean and the perfect temperature. Great spot for sunsets. We were here with brothers, sister.s and our spouses, we had plenty of room, the weather wasn't very good, but we were not crowded at all inside. Only negative was the house is in a real need of a deep cleaning. My wife the insomniac spent one night washing down all the cupboard doors and wood work in the kitchen, All the woodwork and walls need to be washed down and the spiders webs vacuumed out between the windows and screens. Overall though the place is really nice.
